- FISHING: Murray Cod, Rainbow Trout, Red fin and other species abound in the local creeks of Beardy Waters, Furracabad, Upper Severn and Wellingrove.
- CENTRE: Glen Innes is the centre of fine wool, lamb and beef production with the picturesque rural villages of Emmerville and Deepwater nearby.

- NATIONAL PARKS AND BIRD WATCHING: Glenn Innes is the stepping off point for the World Heritage National Parks of Washpool, Gibralter Range, Torrington, Kings Plains, Mann River Reserve, Guy Fawkes River National Park, Llangothlin Nature Reserve. There are many walking tracks through these parks ranging from easy to medium and hard and you will see plenty of birds and other wildlife.
- WINE & FINE FOODS: There are a number of local restaurants and wineries to take in on your visit
- FOSSICKING: Glen Innes is internationally famous for the deep rich royal blue sapphire, it's part of the most prolific sapphire region in NSW and has the World?s richest mineral diversity belt. You can hire equipment and go guided field tours. All this is arranged at our very efficient local Tourist information Centre.
