The Stables at Hawthorn Villa is situated in the historic town of Carrick just 12 minutes from Launceston and offers stunning mudbrick accommodation set in beautifully manicured gardens. Perched up on a hill with breathtaking views over the countryside and the Liffey River, The Stables are part of the National Trust Listed ‘Hawthorn Villa’ with a history rich past. Opposite The Stables you will view the historic ruin ‘Archers Folly’ which is next to Tasmania’s famous Copper Art & Metal Gallery. The Stables are co-joined and are each on two levels, are fully self-contained and come equipped with everything you would require for the most comfortable stay including crisp, white linen and big fluffy towels! The Stables have split inverter air systems for instant comfort or you may choose the cosy log fire. Out your door you will find the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine or two. You may wish to stay in for dinner and cater for yourself or take a stroll to one of the two charming Inns nearby. Launceston also has many fine restaurants. We also recommend ‘The Happy Chef’ at Longford for a fine dining experience hosted by a famous jolly character! The Stables makes a perfect base for touring Northern Tasmania as we are well located for all those wonderful sights and attractions. These areas include Launceston and The Tamar Valley, The Great Western Tiers and Cradle Mountain, Devonport and Port Sorrell areas, and many historic towns such as Longford, Evandale and Westbury. Fully self-contained gorgeous mudbrick stable with loft style bedroom. Stable overlooks the beautiful countryside and has chic modern comforts, crisp white linen & large fluffy bath sheets. Suitable for triple share. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $10.00. The room caters for a maximum of 3 adults, and a maximum of 1 child but cannot exceed 3 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
From Airport (20 minutes): Turn right at airport exit (B54) and travel about 4km to the (A1) sign for Launceston. Travelling North towards Launceston you will come to a sign that will indicate Burnie/Devonport on your left. Turn here and this will take you to the main freeway (A1). Keep travelling along until the Carrick turnoff. Turn here and follow signs to Carrick. We are set back on the corner of Old Bass Hwy and Church Street. Take first entrance in Church Street on right. From Launceston (12 minutes): Exit out of Launceston via Southern Outlet (A1). At the top of the hill just under the bridge, take the exit for Devonport/Burnie then follow Airport directions as above. From Devonport (50minutes): Follow the (A1) highway heading east towards Launceston and take the exit to Carrick. From Hobart(2 hours): Follow the (A1) highway heading north towards Launceston. Take the exit for Devonport/Burnie then follow Airport directions as above. |
