Salisbury Lodges Wilderness Retreat, is located on the southern slopes of the Barrington Tops with boundaries to the Park and the Williams River -It is a 4 star Wilderness retreat , and hosts an award winning licensed Restaurant - ARALUEN. The Retreat is owner operated and hosted , built and started operating in 1993. Salisbury Lodge receive an award of Distinction for unique accommodation 2004, and three finalist awards, for Excellence in the Hunter for Araluen Restaurant. The lodge is surround by rainforest and has a wonderful waterlily covered lake that the restaurant is overlooking. There are 4 Self contained Lodges and two deluxe spa rooms with tea & coffee, bar fridge and BBQ facility. The options are self cater or be pampered and take advantage of the wonderful fresh cooked meals. Bookings are essential - and we ask you to advise at the time of booking. Directions from Sydney Take Freeway North to either Raymond Terrace or Maitland and follow directions to Dungog (Shopping Centre), have coffee at Cafe Bean or Poets corner.
