The Central Coast is famous for its tranquil lakes, crashing surf, cool rainforests, coastal plains, lush valleys and pristine beaches, and is home to a myriad of wildlife. Australian Reptile Park: Winner of the 1998 and 1999 best regional attraction this is a zoo with a difference. Get up close to kangaroos and koalas as well as crocodiles, snakes and other reptiles and birdlife. Bouddi National Park: This was the first marine national park in the state and you can enjoy swimming and snorkelling as well as bushwalking. Pelicans: Part of the fun of the Central Coast is the daily feeding of the pelicans at The Entrance Memorial Park. A new amphitheatre has been built especially to watch this wonderful show take place. Forest of Tranquility Rainforest Sanctuary: Located in Ourimbah, the forest is home to over 100 bird species. Fragrant Gardens: A nursery with a difference - the Fragrant Garden has a wonderful collection of lavenders and old world plants, climbers, trees and herbs. Located at Erina. Glenworth Valley: Regarded as the location for some of the best horse riding in the country, Glenworth Valley is set on 2,500 acres. Enjoy free range riding for both beginners and experienced riders. |
