Built in 1891 as a private residence for Dr. William Stewart, this beautiful Victorian Mansion can now be enjoyed as a Bed & Breakfast. An Historical property with modern conveniences. Set upon 4 acres of park-like grounds peace and relaxation are assured. However, you are within 10 minutes walking distance to the town centre. Our well appointed rooms are spacious , sunny and have their own ensuite bathroom. Rooms are located upstairs. A hearty cooked breakfast awaits you in our downstairs breakfast room and is included in the tarriff. Enjoy a quiet or social drink from our licensed bar or maybe adventure into our guest lounge where you can sink into one of our comfortable sofas after a busy day exploring the beautiful North-West coast. Ideal for the travelling corporate person. Latrobe is 5 minutes from Spirit of Tasmania terminal, Devonport Airport and is central to all Northern Tasmanian attractions including Cradle Mountain, Leven Canyon, Tamar Valley, caves, cheese making, chocolate making etc.. Latrobe is 10kms east of Devonport and 60 minutes west of Launceston travelling along the Bass Highway. Turn at the roundabout in the middle of the Bass Highway with the Mersey Comminuty Hospital running alongside. Forth Street is the second street to the right. Lucinda B&B is 17 Forth Street. |

Whilst in Latrobe take a leisurely stroll down Gilbert Street and call into the many Antique, Art Galleries or Arts and Craft shops. If you are feeling peckish, enjoy a nibbble at a Licensed Cafe or maybe a BBQ at picturesque Bells Parade. In the evening dine at an award wining Bistro or Restaurant. Wildlife tours travel to nearby Reserves and National Parks. Experience Platypus, Fairy Penguins, Tasmanian Devils and other nocturnal animals first hand. Tours can be organised for you. |
