This Resort guarantees water views from every apartment[excluding studio room], as all apartments face straight over to beautiful Shelly beach. Three levels with a lift to all levels and to FREE undercover carpark, the building enjoys a beautiful, beachfront position at the best swimming & fishing beach in Hervey Bay - swimming is great on all tides. Spacious north facing balconies capture both the winter sun and the summer breezes and overlook tropical gardens. With a walk-in resort style swimming pool, BBQ area and half size tennis court, there's plenty for the kids to do. There's also a Lift to all levels from our FREE undercover secure basement parking. The Resort is centrally situated on the Esplanade WITH ITS OWN FULLY LICENSED RESTAURANT and is just a short stroll from others as well as shops and the local tourist strip containg cafes, pubs and many beach activities. Lunch and dinner operates daily at our restaurant and can be charged back to your room. A full tour desk operates at Reception and the friendly staff will help you plan your trips in the area, including Fraser Island and Lady Elliot Islands, Whale Watching(Sightings guaranteed), fishing, etc. ALL major tours come with a FREE courtesy pick-up from our Resort. **OFFICE HOURS for CHECK-IN are 2 pm to 6.30pm ONLY. A LATE CHECK-IN FEE MAY APPLY AFTER 7PM IF ARRANGEMENTS WITH MANAGEMENT ARE NOT MADE. If driving, on arriving in Hervey Bay you will find yourselves on Boat Harbour Drive. Continue until you see the large road sign indicating "Torquay Beach" and "Bideford St", turn left at the lights. Continue until you reach the Esplanande at the beachfront, turn right and Shelly Bay Resort is one kilometre along on the right. By air to Hervey Bay airport then shuttle coach to the Resort. Train to Maryborough then Trainlink coach to the Resort. Bus to Hervey Bay Central Terminal then taxi to the Resort. |

| Things To Do |
With its mild climate, Hervey Bay is a wonderful holiday destination in all seasons. The calm waters of the bay are the playground of magnificent humpback whales from mid July - early November. Trips operate daily to magnificent Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world and to Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Accommodation can be arranged for a stay-over on either Island. Other activities include fishing, wave ski and sea kayaking, a snorkelling and coral viewing trip, sailing and dinner cruises, swimming, cycling the 14km Esplanade bike track, scenic flights, golf, horse riding, botanic gardens, museum, and the historic town of Maryborough and the rum city of Bundaberg are an easy drive away. |
