Located within the central business district, and near to Parliament and the Lambton Quay shopping area of Wellington, the Wellesley Boutique Hotel features old-world charm in a convenient location. Guest rooms are spacious, inviting and individually decorated to match the style of the period. The Wellesley Boutique Hotel building when constructed in 1925 – 26, was the pre-eminent building in the Georgian style in Wellington, a major work of the architect, William Gray Young. It was awarded an Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1932. It has remained little changed to the present day, with all major internal spaces in near original condition and displaying the highest level of craftsmanship in fittings and finishes. |

| Getting There |
Wellesley Boutique Hotel is brilliantly located on Maginnity Street in the CBD. From the airport, the drive is 20 minutes long. From the airport follow the exit signs to Wellington City. This is State Highway 1. At the corner of Buckle and Taranaki streets, turn right and follow this road for approximately 200 metres in a northerly direction. Turn left into Jervois Quay. Follow Jervois Quay north for approximately 2 kilometres and then turn left into Ballance Street before the Shell service station. Wellesley Boutique Hotel is located on the left-hand side of Ballance Street. |

When you want to get out and explore there is plenty to do in Wellington! This City is active all year round. Just ask the staff on the reception desk and they will be more than happy to help you out with advice and reservations. Alternatively we have a comprehensive information stand located in the main lobby stacked with suggestions! Wellington is known as the arts and culture capital of New Zealand. Te Papa, New Zealand’s national museum, is on Wellington’s waterfront. The city has many other cultural attractions for visitors to discover. New Zealand’s Parliament Buildings are a great place to visit and learn about the politics and history of New Zealand. Only two minutes’ walk from the Hotel. Wellington is great if you love being outdoors. It is surrounded by hills, a rugged coastline and one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. Adventure activities include mountain biking, sailing, para-gliding, bushwalking and much more. Guided tours ensure you don’t miss any of Wellington’s best sights. Walking tours, van tours or even helicopter tours are available. Nature is very close to Wellington’s Downtown.
