Situated at Kangaroo Point, The Wellington Apartment Hotel is just a few minutes by car from the city centre, a short stroll to catch a City Cat ferry or public transport and minutes from the famous “Gabba” – Brisbane’s Cricket Ground and home of the Brisbane Lions. The hotel features 37 spacious self-contained studio apartments on three levels. Each studio apartment has a queen bed, sofa, fully equipped kitchenette, balcony, ensuite bathroom. Some apartments have spas. In addition, 5 suites with interconnecting rooms sleep up to 6 people. There is one dedicated disability room with full wheelchair access. Apartment facilities include: reverse cycle air-conditioning ISD/STD direct dial phone courtyard or balcony wireless internet & broadband cable TV iron and ironing board hairdryer kitchen with microwave oven and hot plate mini bar The Wellington on Wellington restaurant offers superb cuisine to satisfy the most discerning palate and a casual lounge bar is the perfect meeting place for a pre- or post-dinner drink. The restaurant offers breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday and can be booked for special group functions (12 or more people) on Saturday nights. From the North & airport (13km) Take the Gateway Arterial to the ‘City’ exit on Kingsford Smith Drive (25) and follow it to Fortitude Valley, turning left onto the Story Bridge (15). Stay on 15 through Kangaroo Point until you reach the Pineapple Hotel. Turn left into Baines Street and two blocks further turn left again onto Wellington Road. Your hotel is the third building on your left past the park. From the South Take Stanley Street off the freeway, then onto Vulture Street, past the Gabba. Turn left into Wellington Road. Your hotel is 800m on the left, the third building past the park. From Ipswich Road Turn right at the Gabba into Vulture Street, Turn left into Wellington Road. The CityCat ferry (200m from hotel) takes you to the city centre in nine minutes and to Southbank Parklands or the Southbank train station in 19 minutes. Buses are readily available a short distance from the hotel. Taxis to the city centre cost approximately $10.00. There are a variety of restaurants, pubs and shops within easy walking distance from the Wellington.
