McHardy Lodge is a Qualmark 5 star rated luxury Bed and Breakfast villa nestled in a quiet residential cul-de-sac.

McHardy Lodge offers a choice of four deluxe Super King Suites, one of these can be configured to 2xKing singles and two standard Queen Bed Rooms. All our luxurious Suites have large well-proportioned rooms dressed with the finest linens and furnishings, claw foot or deep tub baths and access to outdoor decks and verandas. The Lodge is one of Napier's finest historic residences and offers expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and Kaweka Ranges.

Relaxation is not confined to your suite. You can lounge around the heated swimming pool or on one of the extensive verandas - the views of the blue Pacific Ocean and mountain ranges in the distance will beguile you. Enjoy a game on our full size billiards table in the billiard room, or snuggle up in the library in front of the fire. The choice is yours.

Napier is recognised as being the Art Deco capital of the world and McHardy Lodge is located just a short drive (or 15 minute walk) into the centre of town where you can enjoy the variety of building styles of the 1930's. It’s another easy walk to the rejuvenated Ahuriri district with funky new restaurants and bars enjoying relaxing water views.

The famous Napier Botanical Gardens are a few minute’s walk from the lodge, and hot spa pools, the beach, the National Aquarium of New Zealand, wineries and dozens of golf courses, including the award winning Cape Kidnappers, are all within easy reach.

Napier and the Hawkes Bay region is New Zealand’s oldest wine region and is home to over 70 vineyards - most within an easy drive of McHardy Lodge. Napier also is home to many award-winning restaurants, many of them located at the wineries or nearby Ahuriri.

Getting There	Napier boasts up to 10 inbound flights daily from Auckland and with the airport a 10 minute drive and we will be happy to arrange self-drive or chauffeured transport to and from McHardy Lodge and during your visit. If you are driving from the north or from the airport (turn right at airport exit), follow State Highway 50a until you reach the first roundabout. Turn left into Prebensen Drive. Continue driving until you reach the second roundabout and go straight ahead into Hyderabad Road. Keeping the base of Napier Hill on your immediate left, carry on until you come into Carlyle Street - through a 'Give Way' sign at the left of the traffic lights. The second turn on the left is Chaucer Road (South), which turns sharply up the hill about half way up. Continue up this steep rise to the top. Turn left into Napier Terrace and then immediately right again into the continuation of Chaucer Road (North). First on the right is George Street and Bracken Street is first on the right. You will see McHardy Lodge on the left. Arriving from the South, follow the Northern Expressway (State Highway 50a) into the outskirts of Napier. Turn right into Prebensen Drive at the second large roundabout. Continue from * above.
