We offer you a 4 Star Spa Cottage which is very unique.It is only a 15 minute drive to the "Hot Spot" the BAY OF FIRES." Loved by all who stay, as it is situated in a garden setting all by itself- so unique peaceful & quiet plus Privacy is essential to your relaxation. The Cottage is only 9 years old & has 2 bedrooms which includes Queen bed in the main bedroom, The 2nd bedroom has a Double bed with a single bed on the top (Bunk bed) plus a seperate Single bed (sleeps up to 6 people). It is your home away from home as it has everything supplied. It is only a 1 minutes drive from the main St.Helens shopping centre or various Restarants coffee shops & eateries. The cottage has air-conditioning for the hot summer days or electric heating for the cosy winter evenings. It also has an 81 cm LCD TV, Video/DVD player,& Free Austar and includes a selection of videos or DVD's to watch at no charge! It also has its own private laundry & BBQ area . The 2-person corner Spa Bath is a treat for young & old. Couples, business people, & families will all enjoy this unique Hidden Gem but honeymooners will always have a special memory of their holiday. There is plenty of room for children to play or to park your boat. We can also offer you 7 self-contained 2 bedroom Apartments. They are very clean & spacious inside. We are in the process of refurbishing them all. We currently have 6 refurbished Apartments which include New fully equipped kitchens (no oven) & new bathrooms etc. These apartments also have everything you require on your holiday. They are older than the cottage but still very spacious & comfortable. They still look very Retro on the Outside but dont let that put you off, the inside is very modern.They are in a quiet area & just across the road is the beautiful Georges Bay. All Apartments have 2 bedrooms. They sleep between 1-6 people depending on each Apartment. All Apartments have a Queen bed in the main bedroom but the 2nd bedroom differs in 3 of the Apartments. Some of the 2nd bedrooms have 2 sets of bunks (sleeps 6) some have a set of bunks plus a seperate single bed (Sleeps 5) and others have a bunk bed which has a double on the bottom & a single bed on the top (Sleeps 5). If you have a preference of beds please enquire before booking as we will put you in the next available Apartment & this may not suit your needs. We also have 1 Apartment that has 1 bedroom. We are very fussy on our cleaning so all are very clean & tidy. All but 1 of the apartments has a lounge that is big enough to stretch out on. They all have an 81cm LCD TV & video/DVD players & Free Austar (18 Channels). We have 1 Apartment which has disabled access & we also hire out a shower chair. Our accommodation is very warm even on a cold winters night, we can offer you 7 Apartments with electric heating, 1 Apartment has a 2 person corner Spa Bath. 1 Apartment has an inbuilt wood heater with all wood supplied at your door. This Apartment is still retro inside until we can find the time to refurbish it.We can fill your needs from budget to luxury. We have generous grounds for the children to play on & the adults may want to have a game of cricket also. We have a huge new colouful Playground for the childen. It has 2 slides, a flying fox, Firemans pole, shop counter, bridge etc. The Children just love it plus they can wear themselves out playing soccer on our spacious grounds! Our motto is to make sure you enjoy your holiday so we supply old fashioned friendly service at your door. The Cottage & Apartments are only a 1 minute drive into the Shops & Restaurants in St Helens. We can advise you about the attractions around the area which are all mainly approximately 20 minutes drive away, & you will find many glorious beaches to laze away your day. When making your booking in our standard Apartments, please specify if you prefer wood or electric heating, we can't always give you an Apartment with wood heating but we will give you preference if we can. The Apartment with the Spa Bath is only available if we specify in our Specials. We have a limited supply of Port a Cots (linen supplied) & Highchairs. You will need to book these direct. We are children friendly (we have 5 of our own!) Our Accommodation competes with the Beautiful Views of the Georges Bay which is directly across the road and you will arrive in St Helens on a Picturesque Winding Highway. St Helens is the Gateway to the famous Bay of Fires. We look forward to meeting you soon! |

Business FacilitiesWe offer our Business customers the peace & quiet to be able to finish their work without the noise of neighbours close by. The cottage or Apartments do not have telephones in the rooms. .The rooms are all fully self contained.We do not have conference rooms but are only a 1 minute drive to the conference rooms available in St.Helens. We have a Taxi service available in St.Helens to help with your transport. Our Accommodation is ideal for those people who do not want to be cramped into a hotel room but just want to spread out & feel like home while you are away. |

| Getting There |
When you reach St Helens, if you have travelled from Scottsdale on the A3, you will need to drive through the main street, go over the (only) Bridge & we are approx: 300 metres south of the Bridge. The 1st blue sign you see is the Cottage.(16 Tasman Highway, St Helens). Drive just a couple of doors South & you will see a red sign. This is the Apartments where the Reception is also situated (22 Tasman Highway). If you are arriving in St Helens from the South, as soon as you see the St helens township sign or "60" speed limit sign, from there you will keep travelling without turning off, for 2 km. you will follow the Georges Bay around & will come straight to the Apartments on the left handside at 22 Tasman Highway St Helens. From the Launceston aiport, it will take approx. 2 hours on the A4 road. Or if you choose the more scenic route, take the A3 to Scottsdale. It will take you approx. 3-3 1/2 hours. From Hobart airport it will take you 3 hours if you take the Heritage Highway or approx. 3 1/2 hours if you choose the scenic route on the East Coast Road on the A3. From Devonport it will take you approx 1 hour to get to Launceston. You can hire a car or take the bus Callows Coaches. The Red Line bus leaves St.Helens & can take you to Hobart or Launceston. St.Helens has a taxi service or Yo Yo adventures can take you touring around the region |

| Things To Do |
They say in Winter, Tasmania is cold. So why not experience some Warm Tasmanian Hospitality! But in Summer, Tasmanians get Hot!! so bring your bathers! Even if its cold or raining you can experience some true Tasmanian wilderness. Don on a raincoat, feel the pure Tassie water on your skin & walk through the Rainforest (5 minutes) to the St Columba Waterfalls. Warm up with a hot drink next to the fire at the Pub in the Paddock & dont forget to visit "Pricilla" the Beer drinking Pig. Call into the Cheese Factory along the way for some award winning cheese. Pyengana's finest. Or on a crisp morning do some walks on the Blue Tier. It is peaceful & quiet with pure crisp air. Beaumaris has excellent surfing beaches.They are only a 10 minute drive from St Helens.Venture out to the Peron Sand Dunes or the Bay of Fires especially on Sunset or Sunrise & sit with a warm blanket around you & ponder the wind & stormy waters blowing Tobias Furneax's boat into shore & the view they had of the shore of the many Aborigine Fires...which is why they are named The Bay of Fires. Our accommodation is only a 1 minute drive to the shopping centre or a 10 minute walk. St Helens is the largest town on the East Coast & we have a variety of specialty shops & 2 large Supermarkets. There are many coffee shops & eateries. We have Fidlers Restuarant within 2 minutes walking distance from the Apartments or the Cottage. All of the many restaurants & eateries in St.Helens are only a 1 minute drive. The Angasi Restaurant (voted the winner of the Delicious Cafe Awards in December 07) situated at Binalong Bay is only a 12 minute drive from St Helens. The main beaches are approx. 10 minutes drive from St.Helens or we have a small beach " Beauty Bay" only 5 minutes walk from the accommodation. There is a walking track directly opposite the Apartments which is approx: 40 minutes return walk. It follows the Georges Bay. The Spectacular BAY OF FIRES is a short 20 minute drive. The Blue Tier is approx. 35 minute drive. St Helens is only a 3/4 hour drive to Bicheno where you can visit Natureworld, the Blow Hole or watch the penguins. |
