Fresh towels provided daily, undercover parking, TV, telephone, microwave, fridge, shower, heating, electric blankets, guest laundry and friendly service. All units non-smoking. |

| Getting There |
By Bus - (Intercity or Naked bus: arrives at the terminal in Willow Street - we are less than 5 minutes walk from the bus station. Walk uphill along Willow Street 1 1/2 blocks to Harington Street, turn right towards the harbour, at the bottom of the street, turn left and we are on the next corner opposite Dive Crescent. Driving from Auckland (State Highway 2): Tauranga is approximately 200 kms from Auckland. State Highway 2 takes you through the Karangahake Gorge and along the coastal road to Tauranga. From the motorway take the City Centre turnoff (onto Takatimu Drive Expressway) At the roundabout turn right off onto Elizabeth Street towards the City Centre. Turn left at the lights onto Cameron Road. Fourth on the right is Harington Street. Go straight (through Give Way) to the bottom of the street and turn left onto The Strand - we are on the next corner at the intersection of McLean Street & The Strand. Driving from Hamilton (State Highway 29): Once you are over the Kaimai ranges, you come down the hill from Tauriko, then the easiest way is to turn left at Route K and pay $1 on the toll road which takes you to Takitimu Drive (Expressway). At the roundabout, turn right off the Expressway onto Elizabeth Street, heading towards the City Centre. Turn left at the 1st set of lights onto Cameron Road. Fourth on the right is Harington Street. Go all the way to bottom of the road and turn left onto The Strand. We are on the next corner at the intersection of McLean Street and The Strand. Driving from Rotorua (State Highway 2): Coming from Rotorua via Te Puke, head towards Mt Maunganui - go straight ahead through the roundabout near Baypark and the roundabout near bayfair Shopping Centre. SH2 changes into Maunganui Road - continue along Maunganui Rd and get in the right hand land to go over the flyover which takes you left onto Hewletts Road. Continue along Hewletts Road, over the bridge and take the City Centre turn-off. You'll end up on Dive Crescent. At the end of Dive Crescent, you come over the railway lines and you are directly in front of our motel - you may find it safer to turn to the left onto The Strand and then come back round the roundabout on Harington Street. |
