Parklands Motel is ideally sited in Te Anau just a 300 metre walk through the park to the town centre, shops & restaurants. 150 metres to the Events Centre, Bowling Club & Medical Centre. Our 16 clean & comfortable units overlook the local park and mountains and offer a selection of: One Bedroom Units: Spacious units with a Queen & single bed in the bedroom, Divan in the living area & kitchen facilities. Ensuite bathroom with shower. *Studio Units: Large studio unit with a Queen bed, kitchenette (kettle, toaster, microwave & fridge). Ensuite bathroom with shower. Budget Studio Units: Queen bed or Queen & single bed studio units with a kettle & fridge & ensuite bathroom with shower. *Budget Family Units: Queen bed in one sleeping area, 2 single beds in other, kettle, fridge, ensuite bathroom with shower. Should you wish to self cater, you do have access to a guest shared, equipped kitchen/ dining room. All units are Non – Smoking, have ensuite bathrooms, Zenbu Wireless Internet, Heating for cooler nights, Electric blankets on beds, Telephone, Free Off Street Parking. Some units have DVD Players & Hairdryers. Gear & Cars can be stored here while you’re walking the tracks. Wish to see Milford or Doubtful Sound, visit the caves or partake in the many other activities Te Anau has to offer…then talk to us and we will help you plan & book these trips at no extra charge. Most of the local sighseeing/tour operators offer a free pick up and drop off service from our Motel. We can’t guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee you good service. |

Lounge has double divan bed, TV with DVD player, Dining table and chairs plus kitchen with hotplate pots and pans, fridge, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities. Rates are for 2 people. | Getting There |
Travelling from Queenstown or Dunedin stay on State highway 94 as if driving to Milford Sound. At the Subway restaurant or Fire station turn left onto Mokoroa Street, we are the second property on your left. Travelling from Milford turn right at Subway. Travelling on the southern scenic route to Te Anau, travel around edge of lake Te Anau until you arrive at Mokoroa street. Turn right, (just before the float plane) we are two blocks up the street. If arriving by bus let the driver know where you are staying. They may drop you off at the door otherwise the drop off's are in the town centre which is only 300 metres away. |
| Parking |
Large free off street car parking area. More than enough room to park the boat and second car. Cars may be left here at own risk while walking some of the great walking tracks. |
| Things To Do |
The motel is a great place to stay when you are doing day trips to Milford Sound or Doubtful sound. The walking tracks are plentiful. - Glowworm caves - Fishing in the lakes or rivers - Quad bike rides - Scenic flights fixed wing or helicopters - Horse riding - Canoeing in the Fiords |
