Le Ancore Hotel is a choice location from which to experience fully the charm of this area, which has always attracted, and continues to attract, artists from all over the world; that’s why the hotel organizes, amongst other things, meetings, exhibitions and events of every type. Much of the hotel’s charm is down to the “home from home” effect of its interior decor and furnishings, but especially to the warm welcome we reserve for our clients, as well as the friendliness of our staff, who do their best to make our guests feel at home, and make their stay a unique and unforgettable experience. The hotel enjoys a truly enviable position: it lies in the centre of the Marina d’Aequa, these days more commonly known as Seiano, on the Sorrento Peninsula. Since Roman times, people have been choosing Seiano as a holiday destination because of its mild climate, its healthy air, its rolling green hills and deep blue sea. Most of all, they choose it because of its convenient position as regards the most important tourist destinations and cultural centres of Campania, its excellent bathing, its artistic and historical riches and stunning scenery, right from down by the sea, all the way up to Monte Faito at 1400 metres. If you want to spend your holidays absorbing local traditions, basking in the warmth of a stately-home style welcome, then ‘Le Ancore’ hotel is just what you are looking for. Splendid furnishings, prints depicting scenes from nature and the sea, floorings paved with hand-painted Caltagirone majolica tiles, along with bathrooms finished in marble and ceramics, all lend the rooms a feeling of freshness. | Getting There |
Seiano is in a strategic position, which means that we can be easily reached by plane, car, bus, train or by sea. By plane: Guests arriving from Naples can make use of daily bus connections; there are 6 daily buses connecting Sorrento to Capodichino airport in Naples. We will arrange for you to be brought from Sorrento to our hotel. By bus: Guests arriving in Seiano from Rome can avoid the train by using the bus that runs twice daily, providing a direct connection between Rome (Tiburtina Station) and Sorrento (Piazza Tasso) in four hours. We will arrange for you to be brought from Sorrento to our hotel. For those who prefer to travel by public transport, on the other hand, there are various possibilities; if you are arriving from Naples using the national Ferrovie dello Stato trains, the Central Station is connected by pedestrian subway to the Circumvesuviana train lines, which connect Naples and Sorrento directly. You can get off at Seiano station. The trains leave every 30 minutes and will bring you to Seiano in just over 40 minutes. We will arrange for you to be brought from Sorrento to our hotel. By Car: For those preferring to travel by car, taking the A1 Rome – Naples motorway, if you are coming from the north, or the A16 Bari – Naples, if you are coming from the south, you can join the A3 Naples – Salerno, coming off at the Castellammare di Stabia exit onto the 145 main road to Sorrento. This will bring you straight to Seiano and will take you through some breathtaking scenery on the way. As you pass through the towns of Castellammare and Vico Equense you can enjoy the sight of the waves lapping against the coastline to the right of you, as well as the beaches, the little fishing harbours and, up to the left, the white cliffs on which the light plays some spectacular tricks as they reflect the rays of the sun. By sea: Seiano can, of course, be easily reached by sea as well, thanks to the hydrofoils that connect the docks of Beverello in Naples (located opposite the Maschio Angioino) with the port of Seiano; once you get to the port, our hotel is just a short walk away. |
