This stylish B&B offers panoramic views, along with the serenity that goes with a lakeside location. Ambleside B&B is ideally situated and is walking distance to restaurants, galleries & tourist attractions. You can simply park the car and leave it for the duration of your stay. Built in 1912, Ambleside retains old-world charm, yet features modern day comforts like ensuites and air conditioning! Featuring spacious guestrooms and exclusive guest lounge areas, guests are afforded the privacy they deserve. Each guestroom features queen beds, private ensuites, irons, hairdryers, toiletries incl. hand-made soap, tea/coffee making facilities and all rooms are fully air conditioned for year round comfort. Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the lake with an extensive a-la-carte menu to choose from. Breakfast is included daily. Special diets can be catered for if we are given sufficient notice. Guests are free to relax in the lounge or enjoy a drink on the verandah. Come for an afternoon, or come for the weekend! | Getting There |
You can travel to Daylesford via the Western Highway or the Calder. If you take the Western turn off at Ballan and follow the Daylesford Sign. If you take the Calder, *turn off at Woodend and take the Daylesford turnoff at the end of town. If you are coming from the Airport, head for Sunbury when exiting the airport, then head for Woodend. This is the easiest route from the Airport and means you avoid the Western Ring Road. (Follow instructions from * above). Daylesford is approximately 30-35km from either Highway. Come into Daylesford, find the BP Petrol Station and head over the lake. We are located on the 'quiet' side of Lake Daylesford and look back directly to LakeHouse. The Visitor Information Centre will always be able to direct you if you can't find your way. If you are coming via public transport, please contact us with travel details and we will organise to pick you up from the local Bus stop. Ambleside is approx. 800m from the Post Office. |
