Definitely the best deal in town and the friendliest place you'll find. Just treat it like a motel. You have your own key to the door so come and go as you please. Our cosy, charming and totally quiet rural bed and breakfast, offering you a peaceful stay just 4 minutes from the Ohakune shopping centre, supermarket, restaurants, cafes, al-fresco dining, and of course we have the fabulous mountain and rural views. Newly re-decorated throughout. 3 minutes from 'The Junction' and free pick-up from the Overlander train, the Intercity Bus and return. Horse-trekking just 30 seconds away. | Getting There |
Coming from the North (Auckland) drive south from Ohakune shops towards Waiouru for 3 or 4 minutes and turn left at the 'Rangataua 800m' sign. (The sign is on the right side of the road). Drive 30 seconds to end of road and turn right. Bruce's Place is just along on the left. Number 29. From the South (Wellington) drive from Waiouru towards Ohakune for about 15 minutes. Turn Right at the 'Rangataua 800m' sign (The sign is on the left side of the road). Drive 30 seconds to end of road and turn right. Bruce's Place is just along on the left. Number 29. From 'The Junction', at the bottom of the Mountain Road turn left into 'Railway Row'. Drive to the end and turn right over the one-way bridge over the railway line. Then turn immediately left into 'Dreadnought Street'. Follow Dreadnought street for say 3 minutes and it becomes Nei Street. Bruce's Place is number 29. |
