Corinda is a stately Victorian mansion surrounded by extensive gardens within a short walking distance to Hobart’s city centre and waterfront. Nestled within the grounds of Corinda are our delightful original outbuildings, The Coach House, the Servants Quarters and the Gardeners’ Cottage. These quaint buildings have been faithfully restored, furnished with an array of interesting antiques and converted into fully self-contained cottages. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, and stylish bathroom featuring rare period plumbing fixtures. Cosiness is guaranteed with a combination of electric and wood-fired heaters. Interesting collections of antiques and sumptuous fabrics form the backdrop to every ‘mod-con’ imaginable (e.g. television, microwave, hairdryers, CD players, hot water bottles etc.) A generous array of breakfast ingredients is supplied and replenished daily. All the cottages are serviced daily. Corinda's gardens are a real delight. Established in the early 1880s, several of the trees and the garden walls date from this period. Pleached Linden trees and hedges of English Box and Yew featuring elegant topiary shapes create charming formal enclosed areas each with their own colour scheme. Corinda’s Cottages represent the ultimate in privacy, style and convenience. Awake to the sound of birdsongs, then take a stroll across the cobbled courtyard into the extensive formal gardens.
