Think warm, quirky, friendly and eclectic and you are on your way to a clear picture of the Bloomfield. Formerly part of The Albany, this little Gem of a hotel is found in one of South Yarra's prettiest streets, a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of all that is offered in the area. It is in fact, situated in the best “pocket” in Melbourne. Originally a fabulous 1890’s Victorian Mansion with a 1960’s addition and once a hangout for musicians in the 70's, the Bloomfield has been dragged into the 21st century and is fast becoming a hub for the fashion industry, music and corporate industry travellers both internationally and domestically. Having recently undergone a remarkable transformation, the Hotel has emerged with a fashion meets music theme which can be seen throughout the property. From the black and white striped walls in the new bar, to the floor to ceiling photographs, murals and artwork, funky bed-heads and red hallways, it’s become an interesting and chilled place to stay. We are positively bursting with excitement to announce our brand spanking new rooftop pool and garden which has the most amazing view of St Kilda Road and Melbourne city!! Take a dip, indulge in a spot of synchronized swimming, lie back and relax on a sunbed or whatever takes your fancy! This will be ‘the’ place to hang out… There are many different room types which are designed to cater to the needs of all our guests. From our newly renovated Studio rooms, to our Deluxe, Mansion Room and Mansion Suites and our fully equipped two bedroom Bloomfield Suite, there is something to suit everyone!! All rooms have flat screen TV’s, beautiful Kevin Murphy amenities, Vogue Magazines, offer complimentary high speed broadband and exclusive access to our stunning new rooftop pool. The hotel prides itself on its individuality and cheeky style which is designed to both welcome and entertain you in the most comfortable of ways. More importantly our front office team are warm and welcoming and are there to attend to even your smallest needs. We even offer a Rolls Royce chauffeur service (limited availability) on Friday and Saturday nights within the CBD. Breakfast is served 7 days a week in our sun filled restaurant, the Bloomfield Bar & Bistro. We are very excited to now be offering coffee and cakes all day, bar food 7 days and dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, all prepared by our new resident chef – Anthony Siketa. Anthony is formerly from award winning restaurant Sel de la Terre in Toorak Road and Chateau Yering in the Yarra Valley. We have also recently introduced a variety of dine-in, home cooked options for mid week dinners. We will soon be offering a fabulous room service menu so stay tuned for more on this… Our chic location is what makes this hotel even more unique. Nestled in South Yarra, one of Melbourne’s most exclusive areas, the hotel is within walking distance of some of Melbourne’s top restaurants. We are a couple of blocks from famous Chapel Street, which is one of Melbourne’s prime shopping areas, we are also only 2km’s away from the city itself. Connected by trams in both directions and located on the corner of Toorak Road, Millswyn Street runs between gorgeous Fawkner Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens. We are a hop, skip and a jump from the Melbourne Cricket Ground – ok well a 20 minute walk or 10 minute cab ride, close to the Grand Prix circuit (easily audible in Feb), a short tram ride to the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), the Victoria and Prahran Markets, the Rod Laver Tennis Centre and many of the Overseas consulates. We offer limited on-site parking. All our rooms are non smoking but feel free to smoke your heart out in the areas provided!! |

The 2 bedroom Bloomfield Suite is what we call our “Rockstar” room! It is newly renovated, totally cool and lots of fun. Situated in the Mansion, it includes Kevin Murphy products, complimentary broadband and exclusive access to the new rooftop pool!! Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $40.00. Extra children $20.00. We also have a range of referals we can direct you to for any specific business needs you may have. We are located on the corner of Toorak Road and Millswyn Street, we are within walking distance of all forms of Public transport, we are 2km's from our front door to the city centre. A helpful hint for you is if you are getting a cab or driving here for the first time we are on Melways Map 58 and are located on Toorak Road in between Punt Road & St Kilda Road intersections. |

| Things To Do |
So much to do so where do we start? If you walk to the end of our street you will find The Botanic Gardens and from here you will see the City in the back drop, we are a 20 minute walk or a short cab ride to the famous Melbourne Sports precinct M.C.G, Tennis Centre, Etihaad Stadium, Rod Laver & Vodapohone Arena's, Rugby League & Soccer Stadiums, so whatever or whoever you follow you will find it right here on your doorstep. We are located only a stones throw from many of Melbourne's top restaurants, cafes & night spots from the landmarks of Chapel Street or Lygon Street to Crown Casino (why not go in style and ask about our exclusive Rolls service). Much of Melbourne's business is done just around the corner on St Kilda Road where amongst other things you will find many overseas consulates and Head Offices. We are also only a 10 minute stroll to NGV (National Gallery Of Victoria) and the Arts Centre, "so why not check out a show whilst you're here!" There are many more things to do that are just a tram ride away and just a few are The Melbourne Zoo, Rialto Tower, Luna Park, Melbourne's Bayside Beaches, Queen Victoria Markets.
