Voted 2009 Best Hosted Accommodation (B&B)in Australia awarded by Gourmet Traveller. Please be advised to check availability on 4990 1232 before actually booking. We do endeavour to maintain this web site but some times errors occur. Hunter Valley Cooperage is a AAA 5 Star Bed & Breakfast in the Kelman Vineyard. Comprising 3 king rooms with ensuite, air conditioning, carpets, port & chocolates, tea & coffee, DVD & TV. One retreat room has 72sq meters with 2 queen beds, lounge, dining, kitchen, ensuite, DVD, video & TV. In the house a Common huge lounge area with log fire. Full breakfast served al fresco on outside deck or on the dining table in the dining room. Favourite breakfasts are Eggs Benedict, Ricotta pancakes with honeycomb butter, Omelettes, scrambled eggs & Bacon. We cater for celiacs & vegetarians. Main house rooms are modern style,(5 Star) retreat Scandinavian. Open exposed timber beams (4 Star). Access to lawn and all weather tennis courts, golf driving range, vineyard walks, walk to cellar door for award winning wines, fish for perch, or relax in our large lounge. We can organise wine tours, golf games at champion golf courses, balloon rides, helicopter or fixed wing flights over the valley or self guided day tours. Bookings at top quality restaurants are mandatory for a perfect stay. We guarantee a memourable experience when you stay at the Hunter Valley Cooperage B&B. (Drink in excess & eat in excess is our recommendation). Choose to stay in the Shiraz, Semillon, Chardonnay or Retreat rooms. |

LumberJack is a magnificent log cabin. Built completely from Australian hardwood. External walls resemble the pioneering slab hut. Internally, the richness of hardwood colours and its cathedral ceilings, supported by whole tree trunks is spell binding Rates are for 4 people. Extra adults $90.00. Extra children $45.00. The room caters for a maximum of 6 adults, and a maximum of 4 children but cannot exceed 6 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

A luxurious Scandinavian style studio apartment secluded behind and away from the main Cooperage residence for that extra privacy. The Retreat can accommodate up to 4 people in 2 queen beds. Plantation shutters are provided for privacy. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $60.00. Extra children $30.00. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

Our Chardonnay, Semillon and Shiraz rooms offer indulgent privacy and vineyard vistas. We have a 2 night minimum policy on weekends. Enjoy views over vines and to the lake as you enjoy our north facing Chardonnay room. We have a 2 night policy weekends. All room are 5 Star rated and have a door to a pergola covered deck. Driving Directions Take the F3 from Sydney NORTH approximately 100km. Take Route 82 Exit (Vineyards, Cessnock Exit). Turn LEFT at Route 82 (Freemans Waterhole Drive). Turn LEFT at Branxton - Toronto Road (Cessnock signs). Follow signs to CESSNOCK. Turn RIGHT down Vincent Street (at The Royal Oak Hotel). Turn LEFT into Wollombi Road at T Junction. Turn RIGHT into Mount View Road (at Sylvesters Bakery). Follow Mount View Road until it turns to the right (2km) into Oakey Creek Road. Turn RIGHT at first roundabout into Kelman Vineyard.
