From Edmonton, Grande Prairie & Peace River: Travel to Peace River and continue north on Highway 35 from Peace River, through Manning, and continuing on to High Level. High Level is approximately 782 kilometers from Edmonton, 444 kilometers from Grande Prairie, and 291 kilometers from Peace River. From Yellowknife, Hay River & Northwest Territories: Travel south on Highway 1 (Mackenzie Highway) from Hay River. Cross the NWT/ Alberta border and continue southbound on Highway 35 to Peace River. We're approximately 736 kilometers from Yellowknife, 300 kilometers from Hay River, NWT; and 189 kilometers from the NWT/ Alberta border. There is an excellent visitor information centre waiting for you at the border - lying directly on the 60th Parallel. From High Level YOJ Airport: High Level Airport is situated 12 kilometers north of town, on Highway 35, the MacKenzie Highway. High Level Airport is connected to Edmonton via regional service provided by Central Mountain Air. |

Artworks Gallery: Showcases paintings, bronze sculptures, glass, photography, jewellery, funky furniture, and other multimedia works. Also features Northern arts such as soapstone and wood carvings, caribou hair tuftings and birchbark bitings. Changing group exhibitions feature new works by gallery artists, including paintings by Alex Janvier, Frederick R. McDonald and Carol Breen, sculptures by Brian Clark, and various works by other Western Canadian artists. Mon to Sat 9:30 am - 6 pm, Fri till 8 pm, or by appt. Boomtown Casino: The 12,000 square foot casino features 196 slots and twelve table games. Located at the Peter Pond Shopping Centre. Open daily at 10 am. Fort McMurray Sno-Drifters Snow Mobile Club: The McMurray Sno-Drifters became a club in the snowmobile heydays of 1980. We were primarily formed as a race club, and even though our focus has changed over the years, two things have remained the same.
