Bygone Beautys Cottages are nestled in the stunning Blue Mountains, a World Heritage Listed Area, only one and a half hours West of Sydney. Bygone Beautys Cottages welcomes all visitors to the Blue Mountains, domestic Australians and international guests. There are a range of cottages to choose from. All cottages deliver that quintessential upper mountains experience, each with its own character and all located on grounds with gardens. Different cottage configurations, or a group of cottages together, will ideally suit the needs of; couples seeking a romantic, secluded escape, families wanting a great value memorable holiday, or a small exclusive business group - senior executive retreat. Discounts apply for children, extended stays and also for groups. All cottages are self-contained with fully equipped kitchens including microwave oven. The beds are already made up complete with electric blankets and the bathroooms have an ample supply of fluffy bath linen and toiletries. On arrival, guests staying two or more nights will receive a country breakfast platter for first morning. All guests receive a Devonshire Tea for our Bygone Beautys tearooms in Leura. Each Bygone Beautys Cottage is decorated in its own unique style with an ambience of bygone days, a time when life was more leisurely. Most cottages have central heating and a burning log fire for extra mountains ambience. Apart from a wonderful common garden, there is also access to a tennis court. |

Bronte House
Bronte is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom (ensuite + main) French provincial style country house on 4 acres of beautiful gardens with 2 acres of bushland. There is; free off-street parking, central heating, and a burning open log fire. A true executive retreat. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $110.00. Extra children $55.00. The room caters for a maximum of 8 adults, and a maximum of 4 children but cannot exceed 8 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

Tarcoola is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage built in the 1930s. Set in a traditional garden on one acre with an elevated canopied verandah overlooking the National Park. Central heating, billiard room, free offstreet parking and access to a tennis court. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $110.00. Extra children $55.00. | Getting There |
If driving West from Sydney, Blaxland in the lower mountains (with giant palm tress either side of the highway)is approximately half an hour from Bullaburra. When you reach Bullaburra, after the railway station on your right, look for the left hand turn off the Great Western Highway into Genevieve Road at Bullaburra and head approximately 1km to 78-80 Genevieve Road (near a laneway). If catching the train, if feeling energetic and if weather is good you can walk from Bullaburra railway station (20 mins). If travelling with heavy luggage or weather is poor, it is best to alight the train one station earlier at Lawson. It will be easier to catch a taxi from here. |

The Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area is a stunning part of Australia and the World. It is renowned for its 1 million hectares of National Parks, natural beauty protecting the World's oldest species of tree - the Wollemi Pine, and a diverse range of eucalypts and flora (more than 2,500 species). Enjoy the many vistas of clifftops, valleys and waterfalls. Local to Bygone Beautys Cottages, several minutes drive away are; amazing bushwalks from Wentworth Falls and the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and a view at the Conservation Hut. Enjoy a picnic at Wentworth Falls Lake. The extremely popular Leura Village is the next village West from Wentworth Falls. Leura offers, Bygone Beautys tearooms - home of the World's largest private collection of teapots, antiques, jewellery, collectables and gifts. Other Leura experiences include; cafes, restaurants, galleries, Josophan's chocolates and many specialty shops. Katoomba offers Echo Point and the World famous Three Sisters, Scenic world with three major rides (Skyway, Railway & Cableway) in addition to the rainforest boardwalk. The Edge giant screen cinema, more cafes and restaurants, the Paragon chocolate shop, sightseeing buses (Explorer Bus & Trolley Tours) and tours further afield and incredible adventure experiences are also available in Katoomba. There are many more fabulous experiences in the Mountains including the villages of Blackheath and Mt Victoria. If the opportunity exists, whilst staying in the Blue Mountains travel on a daytrip or overnight to Jenolan Caves, the Zig Zag Railway and/or Mt Tomah Botanic Garden. 4 days and 3 nights is a recommended minimum length of stay to experience all major attractions. |
