Mokutu has views out across the island to the sea and up to the ancient volcano. Nestled in the countryside you will not have to hear the planes land or the sounds of cars on Norfolkâs busier roads. It is a place to relax, and be a home on the island to explore and navigate its history, culture and beauty. If you want this holiday for relaxing, sitting on your balcony and looking out to see the blue ocean and green countryside then Mokutu is for you. A whole 5 minutes from town puts it deep into the islands green and tranquil countryside close to one of the islands beautiful bays (Ball Bay) and near to the old historic town of Kingston. During the convict period the land was used as part of a large station though now only an old farm house from a latter era remains that now built around has become the heart of the property. Sitting atop a grassy ridge Mokutu is surrounded by small paddocks, some with horses others with cows. Mokutu offers apartments that connect with the island its art, culture and history. When you stay with us we provide much more than just another room that could be anywhere in the world. We love our island and try to reflect what is so special about it with everything that we do. Relax in a place that makes you feel like your on holiday for the most memorable experience we can provide. ***Currently we are renovating Mokutu's Pool and Cafe. We hope by October 2009 to have both the Cafe and Pool fully operational. The pool will soon be solar heated with an impressive range of poolside relaxation and entertainment options.*** |

Full cooking facilities including oven and two bathrooms. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $40.00. Extra children $30.00. The room caters for a maximum of 5 adults, and a maximum of 3 children but cannot exceed 5 guests in total. Available bedding configurations:

Business FacilitiesNext to the Mokutu cafe is our function room that is perfect for smaller groups of less than 50 people. In this room you will find a projector, white boards and other equipment that you can use for any kind of presentation. Walking outside leads directly onto the Cafe deck with incredible 180 degree views over the island.Wireless internet is also available on the property. |

| Getting There |
The property is located along Stockyard Road past Ball Bay on the way to Steeles point. As we imagine you may not at first find it we prefer to show you the way when you arrive and then after that leave you the option of getting lost in the wonders of the island for the rest of your holiday. |

| Things To Do |
It is quite amazing how much there is to see on Norfolk Island even though it is only 5 by 8 kilometres. There are many tours to do but we would recommend you to discover the island by driving down the many small roads covered by trees, past ruined convict buildings, next to old island cottages while also avoiding the cows that wander the road freely. Norfolk is perfect for anyone loving nature and the simple natural beauty of a place. Norfolk is very special, you will find many websites detailing what you can do here but im sure as long as you don't need shopping centres, big car parks and theme parks to keep you entertained you will love the place.
