Built in 1864, it was one of the first four houses to be constructed in the Eixample area. With an area of 2000 square metres, the hotel’s beautifully restored façade is decorated with over 200 different colour shades. The uniqueness of the building Barcelona’s finest in its class, lies in the fact that it is the only building in the whole of the Eixample area that is decorated with paintings.

Things To Do	You can start the day by taking a stroll along Barcelona’s most famous avenue: las Ramblas. On your way down you will see, among other things, the fountain of Canaletes, a typical venue for fans of Football Club Barcelona, the Poliarama Theatre, a splendid example of Modernist style, the Palau de la Virreina, the Liceu Opera and the Museu de la Cera (Wax Museum). At the end of the Ramblas stands the Columbus Monument. From there, you can take a cable car to the mountain of Montjuïc, where you can visit the Castle, the Olympic Ring or the quaint Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village). Once evening falls, make sure you stay near the Magical Fountain, where the water jets are lit to create a show with lights and music.
