LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION! Our charming Bed and Breakfast Hotel is situated in the quiet part of Christchurch. Come and experience true, friendly, affordable, personalised kiwi hospitality. Watch the Tram pass as you start your day with a delicious cooked breakfast in our sunny dining room. We have 12 rooms, all tastefully decorated. There is a combination of singles, doubles, a family and twin rooms. 10 rooms are equipped with en-suite facilities and 2 rooms are provided with shared bathroom facilities. Our quality rooms guarantee a peaceful, restful sleep. As an alternative, our 2 cottage rooms are ideally situated out the back overlooking our quaint garden. Unwind and relax in the ambience of this delightful garden. This oasis is all about seclusion and pure bliss. For 9 years we have maintained the award for the Christchurch Community Pride Garden. We also hold a 4 star Qualmark rating. Just a 5 minute walk takes you to The Cathedral, Botanical Gardens, Town Hall, Arts Centre, Convention Centre, Casino, Hagley Park/Tennis and Golf course, restaurants, and punting At the corner you can catch the Tram. By car or bus you have the Gondola, Sumner or New Brighton beaches, Lyttleton or the Antartic Centre. Relax in our guest lounge with a free glass of sherry. For your entertainment, there is a television, DVD and video player, stereo or have a game of Chess. We have a guest book shelf where you can swap books or leave yours behind. Upstairs is the guest computer, wireless internet is also available. There is also a guest laundry with iron and ironing board if you require. We are also more than happy to help with any day trips or onward bookings. |

| Getting There |
Taxi or shuttle service available from airport to Croydon House. If driving follow signs into the city (along Memorial Avenue). Turn left onto Harper Ave (opposite Hagley Park). Proceed and at the next major intersection turn right onto Park Terrace (just over the bridge). Armagh St is a few blocks down on your left. We are just through the traffic lights on your left. If travelling from the North, after leaving the motorway just keep heading into town. Once past the Casino, veer right onto Durham Street, proceed until you reach Armagh St and turn right. We are just down on your right. If arriving by Intercity bus, you can either get a taxi (depending on luggage) or you can walk. Proceed to the Cathedral Square, turn right onto Colombo Street and walk down until you reach Armagh Street. Turn left, over the bridge and we are on your right just over the traffic lights. It will take 5-10 minutes to walk to us. If travelling from the South, follow on Main South Road. You will connect onto Blenheim Road, then Moorhouse Ave. Turn left onto Montreal Street (one way system) and proceed to the end, turn right onto Armagh St and we are just down on your left through the traffic lights. |
| Parking |
We have 2 off street car parking spots. If these are full there is free parking around Cramner Square just down at the corner. On street parking is free from 8.30pm Friday until 9am Monday. A free shuttle stops outside of Croydon to take guests to the train station. We can arrange a taxi/shuttle if needed to take you to the airport. Our Bus Exchange is located on Colombo Street, about 5-10 minute walk. There is a 5 minute park outside of Croydon which enables you to unload your luggage. |

The Hotel is in the central city,ideally situated near to the Cathedral, Town Hall, Casino, Art Centre, Art Gallery, Museum, Hagley Park, Tram, Botanical Gardens, Punting on the Avon. There is a wide range of restaurants all within walking distance. Or catch the Free Yellow bus which takes you to shopping mall, supermarkets, science alive, movie theatres. |
