Esk Valley Lodge is a boutique accommodation situated in a large garden, orchard and vineyards in the heart of the beautiful Esk River Valley. Convenient to Napier and the airport, yet a world away with beautiful views over vineyards and the valley.. Peace and privacy is a key factor. The Lodge is a working vineyard with 5 hectares of vines. Guests are invited to learn about the seasons events in the vineyard from pruning in winter to harvest in autumn. Our rooms are named after the grapes grown in the vineyard and are tastefully decorated with quality linen and fittings and recycled Rimu timber is used throughout. The Sauvignon Suite is a self contained suite consisting of bedroom with king Bed, veranda overlooking vineyards and gardens, separate lounge and separate bathroom. The Riesling room consists of twin king single beds and ensuite. The Semillon room is a ground floor room with king bed, separate toilet and large bathroom. It has its own access onto a porch and gardens. All rooms have heat pumps, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, TV and DVD, wireless Internet access (free). In addition guests can make use of the lower guest lounge and large LCD TV with full Sky Digital, library and DVD library and Espresso machine. Other facilities available at the lodge * Play Petanque or croquet on the lawn * Use the retro-style bikes available for guests to explore the surroundings, including two wineries, a lavender farm, the cafes of the Esk valley. The river, walks and a surf beach are all within 10 minutes cycle ride. * Breakfasts are a feature with local fruits and home made preserves and yoghurt to start with and an extensive choice of cooked items. We use our own and local produce whenever possible including eggs from our chickens and fruit and vegetables from the garden. An evening platter is available for those guests who have had a busy day walking the hills, swimming at the beaches or partaking in the many wine and food delights of Hawkes Bay. Esk Valley Lodge is an environmentally friendly operation that uses sustainable practices. Organic options available. |

Sauvignon Suite
The Sauvignon Suite is a private self contained suite consisting of 3 rooms. Large bedroom with King Bed and veranda overlooking vineyards and gardens. A large lounge with desk sofa and chairs, tea and coffeemaking facilities TV and DVD. A large bathroom Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $50.00. The room caters for a maximum of 3 adults, and a maximum of 1 child but cannot exceed 3 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
Esk Valley Lodge is 15 minutes from Napier and 9 minutes from the airport. From Napier, head North past the airport and past the village of Bay View. 2 km North of Bay view is the SH5- SH2 intersection. Turn left on SH5 to Taupo. Hill Rd is 3 km from the SH5/SH2 intersection. Esk Valley Lodge is 500 m from the Hill Rd/SH5 junction, near to Eskdale school. |

At the Lodge, wander the gardens and sample the fruit from the orchard, Play lawn games, borrow a bike or walk aroind the Vineyard, Sit by the log fire with a glass of Hawkes Bay red and read a book or watch a DVD, Arrange for a Polynesian Massage Nearby- * Vist over 30 wineries within 30 mins drive * Tour art Deco Napier * Visit the National Aquarium of New Zealand * Visit the largest mainland gannet colony. * Take a bush walk. * Explore the beaches of Hawkes Bay * Play golf at the world rated Cape Kidnappers or at one of the many country courses. * Have lunch at a top vineyard restaurant. * Drive to the top of Te Mata Peak and admire the view of plains mountains and river valleys. |
