The Golden Well is a luxury boutique hotel enjoying one of the best locations in the city. The Golden Well Hotel is located below the walls of the Prague Castle and surrounded by the Castle rose gardens in the quaint Mala Strana or the "Little Quarter" of Prague. Close to the Prague Castle and the Czech Parliament we are just a short walk away from some of Prague's most impressive sights, including the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, the Royal Gardens, the St. Nicholas Church and the Old Town Square. Guests of The Golden Well Hotel are privileged in the summer months to use the Emperor's private entrance that leads directly to the gardens of the Prague Castle. Wander up the cobbled, traffic-free streets to The Golden Well hotel clinging to the wall in the shadow of Prague Castle, and you will uncover one of the city's best kept secrets. Dining - Our elegant U Zlate Studne restaurant (At the Golden Well) offers guests a choice between the intimate main dining room, which seats 26 guests, or the rooftop terrace which is able to seat 38 people. You can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Prague while relaxing by the classic Czech or innovative international cuisine. The "City of 100 Spires" provides a spectacular backdrop to a relax dining. After your lunch you can enjoy a walk in the gardens of the Prague Castle (during the opening hours). The direct entrance to the gardens from the restaurant terrace used to serve as a private entrance for the Emperor Rudolf II. Our restaurant is located on the fourth floor with the view that will convince you that Prague is really the city of one hundred spires. Awards winning Executive Chef Pavel Sapik is a member of the Czech national culinary team and a gold winner at the Culinary Arts World Competition which was held in Singapore. Carefully selected wine list compliments the appetizing menu and together with excellent service ensures a memorable dining experience for our guests. | Getting There |
Arriving from the Ruzyne International Airport When travelling to the Golden Well from the Ruzyne airport, take a bus number 119 (direction "Dejvicka") outside the departure hall's area. After an about 20 minute ride, get off at the Dejvicka bus stop, which is the subway station of the green line, "A". Once in the subway, take a train going to the direction of "Depo Hostivar" and get off at the Malostranska station in two stops. Arriving from the Main Station When getting to the Golden Well from the Main Train station, take the tube (direction "Haje") at the Hlavni Nadrazi station (red line, "C"), right in the train station grounds, get off at the Muzeum station, which is the next stop and transfer to the green line, "A". Once on the line "A", catch a tube with direction to "Dejvicka" and get off at the Malostranska station. After making your ascend from down the subway, walk across a small walled square with a fountain in the centre and turn left once you on the Waldstejnska Street. Walk up the street always keeping right - once you come to the small triangle square, walk to the very top of it on Snemovni street, leaving the Waldstejska on your left into and make a turn right. The U Zlate Studne is a short blind street where you will come after continuously keeping the right side of the entire walk from the tube. |
