In a quiet location, the only motel in Scone located off the New England Highway (Kelly Street). The Colonial Motor Lodge Scone offers a licensed restaurant and bar, 24 ground floor, non-smoking, 3½ star motel units, including one dedicated family sized disability suite, suitable for guests in wheelchairs, restaurant and bar also fully wheelchair accessible. All units include queen beds, free Austar, reverse cycle air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities and wireless broadband access. In an ideal location, the Colonial is situated across the road from the towns’ swimming pool complex, and within walking distance to the local railway station, as well as local clubs and pubs. Also close by are also parks, playing fields and ovals and the local golf course. The motel is located in the same street as “White Park”, the main venue for our local horse sales, horse events and the annual rodeo. Scone is known as the “Horse Capital of Australia”, and is home to an abundance of Thoroughbred Horse Studs. Other local tourist attractions include: Glenbawn Dam, Barrington Tops National Park, Burning Mountain, and a number of local wineries. |

Scone is situated 275km north west of Sydney, 155 north west of Newcastle, or 140km south east of Tamworth, on the New England Highway (Kelly Street). The Colonial Motor Lodge is located on the northern side of town, on the corner of Guernsey and Parker Streets, opposite the local swimming pool complex and memorial park, a comfortable five minute walk to the centre of town, and local railway station and tourist information centre. |

Off-street parking is provided with each unit provided one car space. Limited additional parking is available upon request including trailer parking and horse float parking. In addition, there is plenty of parking available directly outside the motel for larger vehicles such as trucks or coaches. |

Scone is located in the Upper Hunter Valley and is known as the “Horse Capital of Australia”, due to the large number of thoroughbred studs in the locality.
