WOOLSHED HILL ESTATE is a boutique resort set on 50 tranquil acres in the heart of the famous Pokolbin vineyards, just moments from a vast array of cellar doors, restaurants and all the other attractions of this popular area. The Estate offers charming self contained accommodation for small or large groups of up to 28 people. Varying styles of accommodation including a spacious 6 bedroom homestead, a cosy 2 bedroom country cottage, a luxuriously appointed 2 bedroom apartment and our 5 star option - the 2 bedroom executive residence. All accommodation is fully equipped with everything at your fingertips - air conditioning (not to all rooms), open fires in the homestead & residence, TVs, CDs DVDs, Austar plus a complimentary selection of DVD's. Each style of accommodation has its own gas bbq and outdoor eating area. The perfect setting for family or friends to get together for a short break away or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion, birthday or anniversary.

An ideal venue for a small conferences where work and play can be intermingled.

Guests can enjoy unlimited use of all the facilities free of charge which include a challenging private 9 hole golf course (6 par 4's and 3 par 3's), pristine luxury size saltwater pool and all weather tennis court. Golf and tennis equipment are available for a small hiring fee.

After all this activity, relax on your patio with a glass of Hunter wine and watch the glorious sunsets over the Brokenback mountain range. See kangaroos grazing at dawn and dusk and take in the serenity of life away from the city - do everything - or do nothing!

Getting There	Pokolbin is an easy 2 hour drive north west of Sydney on the F3 Freeway. Travel approximately 120 kms. then take the Cessnock turn off the Freeway. From Cessnock take Allandale Road (which turns into Wine Country Drive) approximately 12.5 kms then turn left into McDonalds Road (just past the Vintage Golf Course on your left). Then turn right into Deasys Road - we are signposted on the corner of Deasys & McDonalds Road. For a more scenic drive from Sydney, take the Peats Ridge turn (just past the Hawkesbury River Bridge) and follow the signs to Cessnock where you will travel over Mangrove Mountain and through the picturesque and historic towns of Wollombi and Broke. Also, There is a daily coach service from Sydney to Cessnock - see Rover Coaches' website for more information.
Parking	There is plenty of parking available right outside your accommodation
Things To Do	Pokolbin is situated in the heart of the lower Hunter Valley vineyards. There are over 100 cellar door outlets as well as many restaurants ranging from casual cafes to fine dining. Other local attractions include 3 international golf courses, hot air ballooning, horse and carriage rides, antique shops and galleries and the famous Hunter Valley Gardens. Woolshed Hill Estate has a walking track surrounding its 50 acre property - see the kangaroos grazing in the early morning and at dusk
