The Windmill is approximately 15 minutes by taxi from Mackay Airport.Approaching from the South :Travel North on the Bruce Highway, crossing over the Pioneer River. Continue north throught the first intersection north of the bridge (lights at intersection of Heaths Road/Bruce Highway), then move into the left hand lane, and turn into Highway Plaza, the first street on your left before the Shell Service Station. The Windmill Motel is on the left.Approaching from the North :Travelling South on the Bruce Highway, drive past the Mount Pleasant/Greenfields shopping on your left at the northern approach to Mackay. Move into the right hand turning lane at the lights of the intersection of Heaths Road/Bruce Highway (a McDonald’s restaurant is diagonally opposite on the right). Execute a U-turn at the traffic lights (permitted), so you are now heading north. Turn into Highway Plaza, the first street on your left before the Shell Service Station. The Windmill Motel is on the left. |
