The hotel garden extends upwards to the pool terrace where it meets the tropical vegetation of the Atlantic rainforest which cascades down the cliffs that form the hotel’s dramatic backdrop. The restaurants, shops and famous bonde (tram) of Santa Teresa are a 2-minute stroll from the hotel. Lapa, Rio's famous night life centre and the downtown business district are a 5 minute bus, cab or tram ride away, and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema 20 minutes by cab. Um Meia Três is a 20 minute taxi ride from Rio International Airport (GIG) and 10 minutes from the downtown Santos Dumont airport. We are located in the historic district of Santa Teresa overlooking downtown Rio de Janeiro. The nearest points of reference for taxi drivers are 'Castelinho' and 'Largo do Guimarães'. |
