History and background: The address of HotelPalace is No.6 Pu Du Si Xi Xiang(West Lane), Nan Chi Zi Da Jie(Avenue) . Dong Cheng District Beijing 100006. Nan Chi Zi Da Jie is the street by the moat of the Forbidden City, Parallel to Nan Chang Jie, as one of the two roads towards the Tiananmen Square. Pu Du Si Xi Xiang hosts the ancient Temple of Benevolence (Pu Du Si), first built in the Ming Dynasty over 500 years ago, as the residence of young crown prince. During the early periods of the Qing Dynasty, Grand Chancellor and noble king Duo Er Gun, uncle of the emperor, set home here. It was later converted into a Lama temple, and officially named “Pu Du Si?in 1776 by Emperor Qian Long after a large scale rebuilding. Within this area, nearby Hutongs named Duan Ku, (barn of brocade), Deng Long Ku(barn of lanterns) and Ci Qi Ku(barn of china) give us a glimpse of the imperial way of life, as no commoner was ever allowed to set a step inside the Forbidden City. The residence has 7 carefully decorated suites, making your stay at the palace second to none. The club is a restaurant/teahouse/museum combination. Taxi from airport: Get to the only intersection in front of the eastern gate of the Forbidden City, before you arrive at the intersection(you are driving on Nan Chi Zi Da Jie(avenue) going north), turn right at the last Hutong called Pu Du Si Xi Xiang (westlane), we are the 3rd courtyard house with the HotelPalace neon sign lit at night and No.6 plate on the wall. If you have trouble finding it, simply have the taxi driver call us 24hrs, or print out the driection with picture from the image section to show the driver. Airport Pick-up: Full size SUV up to 4 person/luggage: 150RMB. Full size Van up to 6 person/luggage: 200RMB. price include toll charge and parking fee at the airport.
