Briardale Bed & Breakfast offers traditional home-stay Bed & Breakfast in a quiet northern suburb of Albury, NSW, Australia, overlooking Heathwood Park, which was originally Briardale Orchard in the early 1900s. We are located within walking distance of a major shopping centre, hotels, fine restaurants and sporting clubs. Our very old established and secluded garden is restful, with many varieties of bird-life which have made Briardale their home. The house features 3 delightful Queen size bedrooms, all above stairs on the first floor and overlooking the gardens and park. All rooms are quiet and spacious, each having their own private bathroom (ensuite), Queen size brass beds with fine quality Manchester and antique furniture. All rooms are individually air conditioned, whilst the Heathwood Room also offers guests a two-person corner spa. Our guests enjoy a private parlour and dining room, both furnished with fine antiques and comfortable seating - the parlour is a restful haven away from the worries of the world. A selection of Australian beers, fine wines including local, Australian and French are stocked in the cellar for your purchase. Our Garden is a private and secluded oasis, just the spot to enjoy a quiet time with your friends and favourite wine or cold drink. Briardale is licensed for your convenience. CHILDREN : Please note that children are welcome at Briardale but can only be accommodated in the existing bedding arrangements, ie, one Queen size bed per bedroom, no other bedding is available and would be charged at the appropriate rate. Children must be under supervision at all times. "Briardale" is a member of The Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay Association of NSW-ACT. |

Heathwood Spa Suite
The Heathwood Spa Suite is above stairs and overlooks the front garden and Heathwood Park. A quiet and delightful room, with lovely Queen brass bed, quality manchester and a two person corner spa in the ensuite. Fully cooked breakfast for 2 in tariff. Rates are for 2 people. | Getting There |
We are located at 396 Poplar Drive, Lavington, NSW. Phone 0260 255 131 or 0407 254 368. Albury is well serviced by road, rail & air. Qantas, Regional Express & Virgin Blue all connect frequently at Albury Airport. Interstate bus lines link at the Railway Station. We are about 3 hours north of Melbourne and about 5 hours south of Sydney using M31. From Melbourne, take the "Racecourse Road" Exit, turn left and continue West along Union Road for 2.5kms - you will see the Northside Hotel ahead on your right - continue on Union Road through this intersection for 1.0km, turn right into Diggers Rd, left into Sunwood, right into Poplar Drive. Briardale is last on the right. If you miss this exit you can take the next, which is "Thurgoona Drive" exit, see below. From Sydney, take the 1st or 2nd Exit. We recommend the 1st exit. The 1st is "Davey Road" (sign posted "to Jindera"), this takes you directly to the "Old Hume Highway" (Wagga Road #31), continue to Union Road for 8.5kms - you will see the Northside Hotel on your right - turn right into Union Road at this intersection and continue along Union Rd for 1.0km, turn right into Diggers Rd, left into Sunwood, then right into Poplar Drive. Briardale is last on the right. The 2nd exit is "Thurgoona Drive", which takes you to Wagga Road, follow the above directions. | Things To Do |
Albury is an historic city, retaining much of its early architecture. Be sure to visit the Botanical gardens, undoubtedly one of the best examples in Australia. The Bandianna Army Museum is a "must see". Our Golf courses are second to none. Visit the Hume Dam which services the mighty Murray River down to South Australia. The City Centre is a lively, vibrant area with a wonderful night-life, offering a variety of Hotels, Clubs and charming restaurants to suit all needs. Albury is the ideal hub for exploring our wonderful region. Tourist information centres are located at the Albury Railway Station and at Gateway Island, Wodonga. |
