Most guestrooms feature French doors which open onto the sweeping verandah, offering the area's most spectacular panoramic views of the Mudgee Valley and surrounding vineyards. The guesthouse boasts seven delightful guestrooms each of which are unique. What they share is an inviting, romantic décor, private ensuites, and French doors that open to the verandah – just the place for watching kangaroos graze in the mornings or the sun set over the hills and vineyards in the evenings. The guesthouse features two guest lounges. The Fireside Lounge is decorated in a rich Federation-style colour scheme and furnished with cozy couches around the open fireplace – perfect for curling up with a good book and a glass of port. Downstairs is the newly constructed Billiard Room which has been designed in the style of an old Australian shed. Clad in corrugated iron and recycled timber, the room features a billiard table, darts, chess board, plasma screen and a bar, perfectly suited for watching the big game with a group of friends or challenging your partner to a game of snooker. In addition to the delightful, leisurely breakfasts, a highlight of any weekend stay at the guesthouse is the chef-prepared Saturday evening meal. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapes on the verandah (or the bar downstairs in cooler months), followed by a 4-course chef-prepared meal of elegant fare served in the formal dining room. To finish off the experience, port, coffee and chocolates are offered in the lounge. No need to call a taxi -- your room is only steps away. Our self-contained cottage is a wonderful property with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining room, lounge, and a fabulous verandah with spectacular views over the Mudgee Valley and vineyards. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $50.00. Extra children $50.00. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 3 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. Rates are for 2 people in a room in the guesthouse. Maximum occupancy is 2. Bedding configuration is either 1 Queen bed or 1 King bed. Midweek rates are valid Sunday-Thursday. Please note that the Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse does not cater for children. Rates are for 2 people. The room caters for a maximum of 2 adults. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
From Town Centre (Mudgee): Travel north on Church Street (main street) past the clock tower. Church St will turn into Ulan-Cassilis Road. Travel on Ulan-Cassilis Rd for approximately 7km. Turn right onto Buckaroo Lane (across from Huntington Estate Wines). (To avoid long stretches of unpaved road, use Buckaroo Lane rather than Buckaroo Road). Follow small brown street signs to the Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse (approximately 1.5 km). From the road, you will be able to see the red-roofed guesthouse on the mountain.
