This elegant private Country House set in acres of landscaped grounds and gardens is on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. You are surrounded by the finest scenery - from the Moors and Dales to the distinctive Yorkshire heritage coastline just minutes away and from here you can explore the unique countryside made famous by James Herriot, and through the Yorkshire Television 'Heartbeat' series. When you choose Wrea Head you will find a perfect retreat - a Country House with character and charm which has been lovingly complemented with the finest fabrics, antiques and art collection. The Four Seasons Restaurant really is a discovery, both for our guests and for the locals! This award-winning Restaurant enjoys an AA rosette for the quality of food. Our Brigade of Chefs present a fine selection of dishes each day to suit everyone's choice, using only the finest and freshest ingredients and obviously you will find seafood is our speciality! They are always happy to help with any special requests. There's a comprehensive Wine List featuring old favourites and many exciting New World wines. The oak-panelled front hall with its inglenook fireplace and blazing log fire on chilly days, is perfectly grand enough to impress, but with cosy corners which are perfect for moments of relaxation. On warm summer days you can sit on the terrace or in the conservatory enjoying a glass or two of Pimms, whilst appreciating the panoramic views across the gardens. There are just twenty-one individual bedrooms at Wrea Head - each with its own distinctive design and style, furnished individually with fine fabrics and furniture. Many of the rooms enjoy panoramic views over the rolling countryside, and for romantic occasions you must choose one of our canopied beds, a four poster or even our luxury Studio Suite. It's no wonder it's a popular choice for Honeymoons and Anniversaries - but you don't need an excuse to come to Wrea Head, every visit ends up a celebration! |
