An enchanting modernised Villa Circa 1910 catering for up to 12 guests providing NZ hospitality of the highest quality. Tariff includes a continental breakfast and a cooked breakfast is available for $10 extra. Evening meals can also be arranged and are a favorite amongst my regular contractors. There is a self service buffet with a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, milo and chilled water ready 24 hours a day. Some rooms have their own TV's but the large screen in the main lounge is very popular. The spacious bedrooms can cater to single travellers, couples, family and sports groups. Wireless broadband is available along with Eftpos and credit card facilities. An attractive outdoor area with shade and BBQ is available at the rear of the property for guests to use. Want to tour a dairy farm? Due to interests expressed by overseas guests I have an made an arrangement with a local farming family who are prepared to allow limited numbers of visitors to view their cow shed and operation to interested guests. This is by prior arrangement only with conditions on the farm permitting. A special feature of my home is that it all areas are fully accessible to anyone disabled in any way or confined to a wheelchair. I have a ramped rear entrance and all the guest bathrooms are 'wet floor' construction tocater very well to those who may need extra space or assistance. Located just 3 hours drive north of Wellington and 1 hour north of Wanganui or 1 hour south of New Plymouth. Beneath spectacular Mt. Taranaki lies this beautiful town of Hawera. You can hunt, fish, surf, swim, ski, play golf, visit our beautiful gardens or just relax with a good book and listen to the birds... whatever your reason for visiting I will ensure you have a comfortable worry free stay complete with a cosy warm atmosphere and great food. |

Arriving from North (New Plymouth) continue straight ahead around first large roundabout, property located approximately 80 meters on right. Arriving from South (Wanganui) continue on till large sign reads New Plymouth, make a right and continue on (Waihi Road - also State Hwy 3) for 2km. First driveway next to Mt View Motel. |

Tawhiti Museum - Great local attraction gives visitors a great perspective of how New Zealand was colonized by the early immigrants and the struggles they and the native Maori had to endure. Sporting facilities are many and varied in the South Taranaki district. There are 3 great golf courses within a 10-15 minute drive. Excellent beaches for the surfers, swimmers and boaties. Tramping is a popular pastime and there are some great walking tracks on Mt Taranaki for both the novice and experienced hikers. Farming is the mainstay of the local economy and this is the heartland of the dairy industry. If it is a visit to a local dairy farm you desire I will arrange it for you. No matter what you desire to do I am sure we can satisfy most requests. |
