Manuka Lodge is intimate luxury, located at the southern end of the Central Plateau, in a quiet secluded cul-de-sac only a 10 minute walk away from the shops, bars and eateries of Ohakune township. Turoa ski field is a stunning 20 minute drive away and we are only 40 minutes from the start of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing: Arguably one of the best 1 day walks in the world (just ask us for transport). Also if you are into fishing there are plenty of fantastic fishing spots nearby.

We offer a top quality experience. All our rooms have en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and freeview T.V. Everything you would expect to find in a hotel room!
We offer 3 King bed rooms all of which can be converted into twins if necessary. Two of these rooms can take an extra single bed if required. The 4th room is a Queen bed room with disabled access and en suite.

There is also a very comfortable guest lounge and dinning area with sumptuous sofas, SKY TV and a beautiful stone-surround log fire place. A copious breakfast is provided every morning: cereal, yoghurt and fruit to start with, a fully cooked breakfast to follow, and homemade bread/toast to cap it off/mop it up. Fresh coffee, too - you won't go away hungry.

Getting There	You can get to Ohakune by train or bus. Transfers to Manuka Lodge are provided free of charge. Just let us know arrival and departure details. By car, we are approximately 3.5hrs - 4hrs north of Wellington and 4.5hrs - 5hrs south of Auckland. Once in Ohakune you arrive into the township on the main road Clyde St. Carry along this road until you reach Arawa St. If coming from National Park (SH47) it is first on left after the BP petrol station and before the big carrot. If coming from Waiouru (SH1) it is first on right after the big Carrot and before the BP. Manuka St is second on the right off Arawa just before the school. Go down the even side of Manuka St and we are number 18 at the end of the cul-de-sac. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us. Hope to see you soon!

Things To Do	20 minutes away from Turoa ski-field. 40 minutes by shuttle to the start of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. 10 minute drive to nearest walking and hiking tracks up the beautiful mountain rd. 5 minute drive to the very uniquely appointed Waimarino Golf course. Plenty of good fishing rivers only half an hour to an hour's journey away (some of the best secret trout fishing spots in the North Island - ask us!). It's also the perfect spot to start your Whanganui River adventure - a unique and enjoyable experience not to be missed! There are plenty of bars cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance of Manuka Lodge. Sit back and relax with a wine and enjoy the native bird song whilst you ponder your options....
