Boasting 4 ½ star accommodation, we offer a range of suites to suit all styles and budgets. Each luxurious suite has a private entrance, its own facilities, and uniquely individual décor and character. We offer a range of facilities, including: luxurious double spas, crackling log fires, four poster beds, private courtyards and balconies, in-house massage, 400 free DVD's for guests at reception, even the three bedroom Carriagehouse suitable for larger group and conference bookings! All rooms have ensuites and kitchenettes/and or full kitchens. Loft In The Mill is perfectly located opposite Olinda Village at the top of the Mountain: walking distance to boutique shops; lovely gardens, galleries and tearooms; and quality restaurants. A short distance away is the local golf course, William Ricketts Sanctuary and the popular country style pubs of Mount Dandenong, Kelly's and the Pig and Whitsle. 15 minutes away is Puffing Billy Railway and within 20 minutes your are in the middle of the Yarra Valley’s numerous wineries. Spoil yourself in luxury. Try one of our premium suites: Hathaway Suite - One of our most elegant rooms, with four poster bed in a sunken bedroom. You can sit in the luxurious double spa and watch the crackling fire or take in the sunset from your private balcony. King Arthur Courtyard Suite – Treat yourself like royalty. This suite has a mediaeval feel, with its slate floor and dark exposed beams. While providing all the modern luxuries of king size bed with a king size four posted spa at the foot of same that looks out over your crackling log fire, slab floor heating underneath and private courtyard. Enjoy the comforts of high living in our deluxe spa suites: Herb Garden Suite – With its own private courtyard, you can enjoy a double spa and log fire in one of our most popular rooms. Attic Suite – Tucked away to the rear of the Carriage house, you can get away from everything and enjoy the double spa, log fire and record player with 60 albums(or bring your own collection if you like). Also has a garden deck with romantic outdoor setting for two surrounded by evergreen trees and foliage opposite the entry. Loft Suite – The whole top floor to yourself. Enjoy the space and comfort of this suite with double spa and four poster bed, mezzanine level sleeping quarters with 2 king size single beds, Queen size bed that folds out from divan in the open plan lounge and full kitchen facilities with stovetop and dishwasher. 4½ star luxury for a smaller budget: Calico Suite – A bright cosy suite for between 2 and 4 people with double spa, separate lounge with additional Queen size bed that folds out from the divan, kitchenette and entered from your private sunny courtyard. Tudor Room – An intimate suite with 4 poster bed, crackling log fire, kitchenette, heavy exposed beams, whitewashed walls and garden deck with romantic outdoor setting for two surrounded by evergreen trees and foliage opposite the entry. Victorian Room – A romantic, cosy room with lace draped 4 poster bed, kitchenette, dining table setting for two and ensuite for the budget conscious yet fastidious guest. | Getting There |
From Melbourne Airport: Easiest method requires a Citylink daypass - follow Tullamarine Freeway toward city, which will become Citylink tollway. Continue until you get to the Westgate freeway exit that leads to the tunnel. Go through tunnel and continue following Citylink, which will eventually turn into Monash Freeway. Take Ferntree Gully Rd exit and follow until it joins Burwood Highway. Turn right onto Burwood highway and follow until you go under a train bridge. Immediately after train bridge, turn left onto Mt Dandenong Tourist Road and continue for approx 15 minutes when you will reach Olinda. We will be on your left hand side (corner of Harold St) in Olinda Village. From Melbourne CBD: Citylink bypasses CBD. Get on to Citylink and then follow above directions. By Public Transport: Catch train on Belgrave line to Belgrave or Upper Ferntree Gully. Take taxi from station or bus (route 694 or 688, both US Bus Line Buses) to get to Olinda. Bus stop at Olinda Village is just across the road from Loft In The Mill. Alternatively catch Lilydale Line Train to Croydon Railway Station and then catch Bus Route 688(Ventura Bus) to Olinda. |
