All suites are in 1830’s Heritage listed stone buildings and are equipped with heating, TV/DVD player, electric blanket, refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, clock radio, and hair dryer. The Cottage is two storey and self-contained. The rendered stone walls are white and the floor is slate. Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, mini bar and microwave. A dining area and a sitting room with two leather lounge chairs adjoin. The combustion wood heater keeps the whole place cosy. Two day beds accommodate extra guests or children. Art work is by Penelope Ann. Upstairs is the dormer bedroom with queen bed and views over the gardens to the Bowen Bridge. A silk painting is by Marina Pribaz. The separate bathroom has a shower. The Bakehouse Suite has three rooms with white washed, rough textured walls. The floor is slate and all the furnishings are white with a painting by Irene Barberis. There is private entry into the dining area with kitchenette, mini bar, microwave and a painting by Irene Barberis. Up two steps is the bedroom with queen bed, white leather recliner chairs and TV/DVD. It features the original baker’s fireplace and oven. A bold modern diptych is by Helen Hopcroft and a small painting is by John Lendis. The glamorous bathroom has a free standing bath and separate shower. The Homestead Suite in the main farmhouse has a private entrance off the verandah and internal access to the Reading Room and Dining Room. There is a queen bed, two armchairs, coffee table, refrigerator mini bar and TV/DVD. The painting is by Penelope Ann. The dramatic ensuite bathroom has a shower and features double vanities. The Barn Suite walls of raw stone, ceiling of exposed dark timber beams and the polished sandstone floor contrast with the romantic king size four-poster bed, sumptuous bedding, leather armchairs, thick rugs, flat screen television and DVD player. A trundle bed accommodates a third guest. The sparkling white kitchenette has a microwave, refrigerator, mini bar and electric jug. The bold, white, spacious ensuite bathroom is equipped with shower, hairdryer and heater and is disabled accessible. The Stables Suite has private entry via a small set of steps off a deck area with outdoor chairs and table. The raw stone walls, the ceiling of exposed dark timber beams and the polished sandstone floor contrast with the leather covered queen bed, sumptuous linen, and thick rugs. The original feed troughs are a feature. Sparkling new facilities include a kitchenette and a bold, white ensuite bathroom with shower. The painting is by Penelope Ann. |

From the airport - Follow signs to Hobart. Just prior to Tasman Bridge take right exit to B32. Follow B32. Just before it goes under the Bowen Bridge is our entrance to the right. From Hobart - take the Brooker Highway north until you get to Goodwood Rd. Turn right to Bowen Bridge, cross it. Take first right (B32) our entrance is just around the corner before you go under the bridge. |
