The Reef Luxury Apartments are situated in the heart of Mount Maunganui in the Bay of Plenty, a very popular region of New Zealand's scenic North Island. The Reef is home to 30, luxury 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, all with 2 bathrooms, generous living areas, large fully equipped designer kitchens with granite bench tops together with all the modern stainless steel appliances for your home away from home stay. Apartments with sea views are available, providing a breathtaking outlook over the mighty Pacific Ocean. The 3 bedroom "Penthouse" apartments on the top floor being very popular due to their size of around 150m2 plus the huge wrap around balconies for unobstructed beach and sea views. Poolside apartments are also on offer which provide easy access to the "year round" heated main pool (25-28 degrees) and the adjoining hot relaxation pool (37-38 degrees).
All apartments have huge balconies (or patios) with outdoor furniture, open plan living / dining areas, DVD players, quality stereos, large flatscreen TV's and 60+ SKY channels.
Elevator to all floors makes access easy, even for wheel chairs.
The apartments are self-serviced (with a change of linen provided every 7 days if you are a long stay guest), each has its own laundry with modern auto washing machine and dryer.
Local attractions include several golf courses, surfing schools, dolphin and whale watching cruises, gardens, fun parks, fishing charters, honey tasting, wineries, helicopter and plane rides and trips out to the incredible White Island.
Plus, just 3km from The Reef and adjoining the awesome "Main Beach" is an extinct volcano Mount Maouo. Whether you choose to walk around its easy "Base Track" (30min) or the more demanding climb of the "Summit Track" (30min), the views of the Pacific Ocean, Tauranga's inner harbour and surrounding Bay of Plenty are spectacular.
Mount Maunganui is the perfect base from which to explore the Bay of Plenty region. Day trips to Rotorua, Taupo, Whakatane, Waihi, etc. are very easy.
Groups of under 25 year olds are not permitted to rent the apartments.
