Merivale Court Motel is very centrally located with good access from the north, south, CBD and the airport. Our guests are always impressed with our bright, clean, comfortable and spacious units.

We have a good variety of recently refurbished units available, consisting of studios, one bedroom and two bedroom family units. All have a separate bathroom and, apart from 1 unit with a partial kitchen, they all have a well equipped full kitchen. Three of the units have a full electric stove. All units have a microwave. They are serviced daily, non-smoking and as all of the units are back off the road, they are very quiet.

All units have Sky TV, DVD, (free DVD library available), good heating, electric blankets, hair dryer, radio/alarm clock and phone.

Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate (replenished daily), milk and mints are provided.

Our motel is within walking distance of the central city, the Casino, (the free casino shuttle is available), the Town Hall, Convention Centre, Merivale Mall, Hagley Park, Southern Cross and St. George's hospitals, Nurse maude hospice, and several schools - St. Margarets, St Andrews, Rangi Ruru and we are next door to Selwyn House School. With bus stops very close by, and an airport shuttle readily available, access to the city, Papanui/Northlands and the airport is very easy

Our studios have a separate kitchenette and ensuite bathroom with a shower, vanity and a separate toilet. The bed/sitting area is very spacious with sofa. There is a queen and a single bed in two units and a queen in one unit.
Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $20.00. The room caters for a maximum of 3 adults, and a maximum of 1 child but cannot exceed 3 guests in total.

Business Facilities

The location of the Merivale Court Motel is excellent for our corporate guests. Access to the city and suburbs, to the north and south and to and from the airport is very easy. We are within walking distance of the central city area, the Town Hall and the Convention centre.

Getting There	By car - Papanui Rd is the continuation of the Main North Rd which is the main arterial route into the city from the north. We are on the right not far after the Merivale shops. From the south via Blenheim Rd or Riccarton Rd, turn left when you reach Hagley Park onto Deans Ave. (It's a free turn off Blenheim Rd.) Follow around the park onto Harper Ave. Turn left onto Papanui Rd about 100 metres after you leave the Park. We are on the left at the first pedestrian crossing. Taxis are available from the city and the railway station. Buses are also available from the city. You can take bus numbers 10, 11, 12, 13, 90, or 92. Ask to be let off at the Scenic Circle Hotel. We are just a few more metres along just past the hotel itself. We also are on a direct route from the airport via Russley Rd, Harewood Rd and then onto Papanui Rd. Turn left as you leave the airport onto Russley Rd and then take the 2nd right onto Harewood Rd. Papanui Rd runs off the end of Harewood Rd. Airport shuttles are always available at the airport.
Parking	Each unit has it's own off-street car park available.
Things To Do	There is just so much to do in and around Christchurch. Here are just a few of the great things you can see and do:- Antarctic Centre, Orana Wildlife Park, Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, Canterbury Museum, Air Force Museum, Christchurch Gondola, Ferrymead Heritage Park, golf, mini golf, Christchurch Botanic Gardens, Harbour cruises, Wildlife cruises, Hot air ballooning, Scenic flights, Paragliding, Skydiving, day tours to Akaroa, Hanmer Springs or to the whalewatch in Kaikoura. You can travel to Kaikoura on the Tranzcoastal express, do the whalewatch trip and then return on the afternoon train. There are also wine tours and city tours available. Then, of course, there are the numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. Last and not least - shopping, shopping and more shopping! I'm sure there is something for you in this list!
