Whangaroa Harbour, with a relaxed fishing village atmosphere, is a peaceful and secluded place, 35min north of Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands and en route to Doubtless Bay, the Far North, Cape Reinga and the Hokianga Harbour. The sandy beaches of Tauranga Bay, Taupo Bay and Coopers Beach are all nearby. Golf courses nearby include Whangaroa, Kauri Cliffs, Kerikeri and Waitangi.
Whangaroa Harbour offers good recreational fishing, diving, harbour cruises, eco walks, kayaking and sailing almost year round.

Getting There	Travel on State Highway 10 North to Kaeo. Just North of Kaeo, take the road straight ahead to Whangaroa at the one-way bridge. At Whangaroa, pass the Marlin Hotel on your right and the Marina on your left (opposite each other), then take the next road on the right (Old Hospital Road) follow the Waimanu Lodge signs to the top of the hill. The first part of the road is tar sealed, then it goes into a narrow gravel road for a short distance, our entrance is clearly marked on the right hand side of the road.

Things To Do	Waimanu Lodge is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views for a day or so whilst en route to the Far North including Doubtless Bay, Karilari Peninsular, Kaitaia, Ninety Mile Beach Cape Reinga. You may prefer to stay and relax at Waimanu Lodge overlooking the Whangaroa Harbour - a magnificent picturesque inland harbour with a relaxed fishing village atmosphere. Protected by dramatic rock formations, the harbour offers most all weather boating, in season scallop beds, good fishing and not infrequent dolphin sightings. Harbour tours and fishing charters are available through local operators. The St Pauls Rock scenic reserve walk is right on our doorstep, offering magnificent views of Whangaroa Harbour from the top.
