Lime Tree Lodge offers luxurious five-star boutique accommodation in one of New Zealand's most spectacular regions.

Set on a ten-acre estate, just outside Lake Wanaka, the Lodge affords panoramic views of the region's spectacular snow-capped mountains. An avenue of 'tilea cordata' lime trees lends the Lodge its unique name and character. The rustic Central Otago exterior, featuring local schist stone, opens up into a modern and stylish interior with no expense spared on making the surroundings comfortable for guests.

Lime Tree Lodge offers four luxuriously appointed ensuite guestrooms and two private suites, each with their own French doors and verandah, providing a relaxing vantage-point to take in the scenic alpine views. Facilities at the Lodge include a swimming pool and spa pool, a five-hole pitch-and-putt golf course, petanque court, croquet lawn and on-site helipad for heli-skiing and heli-sightseeing tours.

The Lodge’s four guestrooms are named after the superb range of rivers which flow through the World Heritage Wanaka region - Hawea, New Zealand's shortest river -Mata-Au, the Maori name for the mighty Clutha, New Zealand's largest volume river - the Makarora, known for its plentiful rainbow trout - and the ancient glacial-fed Matukituki river.

Fresh flowers, heated floors and king-size beds, clad in crisp cotton and designer linens, make each room a restful haven with spectacular alpine views. Each luxurious ensuite room has French doors opening out to a verandah and landscaped gardens, and is equipped with its own garden furniture for that leisurely afternoon tea, complete with home-baking or a glass of fine Central Otago wine as the sun sets behind the Southern Alps.

Inspired by the lime trees which punctuate the Lodge’s grounds, guests will find quality Linden Leaves toiletries in every room (Linden is the Old English word for a lime tree) and Vodka lime gimlets presented for evening aperitifs in the Lodge's guest lounge.

Lime Tree Lodge has two elegantly appointed luxury suites. The Linden Suite has a fresh, contemporary feel with its large open-plan bedroom and private lounge opening out to an expansive verandah and garden area. This suite features a super-king or twin beds, an ensuite bathroom with shower, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge stocked with gourmet provisions, digital TV, a CD and DVD player, plus fast internet access (broadband & wireless).

Black Peak Suite is Lime Tree Lodge’s superior luxury suite. Its black-oak décor, leather furnishings and private log fire make this the perfect retreat for a well-deserved winter or summer break. Pull back the French doors and enjoy a delicious, local wine while watching the sun set over Black Peak and the Southern Alps.
