Restored from an ancient monastery, this 5-star luxury Venetian hotel is set within a natural oasis of peace, on a 4 acre centuries-old park on San Clemente Island, in front of San Marco. The San Clemente Palace Hotel & Resort, Venice, offers 200 guestrooms in a restored, three-story monastery dating from the 17th century. Its distinct exterior is terracotta colour, with white trim and tall, arched windows. Long, wide, high ceiled hallways extend through the hotel's wings, all decorated with damask wall panels and crystal and Murano glass chandeliers. Guestrooms contain 4-meter (13.75-foot) ceilings, tall windows providing views of the hotel's gardens, terrazzo floors with area rugs, reading chairs, cocktail tables, and work desks. Furnishings and colours vary according to four Venetian theme decor schemes: The Doges, The Merchants, The Nobles, and The Navigators. Beds feature hypoallergenic comforters, and linen sheets. Beige-marble bathrooms include separate tubs and showers and feature a five channel in house music system. Terry cloth bathrobes and slippers supply lounging comfort. Internet access is available through televisions (charge). Le Maschere - Named "The Mask" for the restaurant's Venice Carnival decor theme. Purple-violet-gold color scheme. Brick and dark wood walls. Original paintings of Carnival. Open for lunch, dinner in winter, and dinner in summer. Summer outdoor seating in lagoon side church square. Specializing in Venetian cuisine. La Laguna - Casual outdoor spot specializing in grilled foods in summer. Gli Specchi - Pub-style food served from late morning to late night. The Le Conchiglie - Pool bar open in summer. A free shuttle boat service runs with a regular service from San Marco stop in the centre to the Hotel and back, until 01:00 every night. After 01:00 the service is available on request. The facilities and activities offered are designed to relax and pamper guests, they include: a freshwater outdoor pool (open from mid of May until mid of September), providing a respite for you to enjoy the warm summer; 2 tennis courts; and an executive golf course. The beauty and wellness club, La Perla della Laguna (closed on Mondays), will regenerate and pamper you with aromatherapy treatments, massages and a variety of aesthetic programs, including a steam room, sauna and exercise room. |
