The Bega Downs Motor Inn is the newest motel in Bega. Our rooms are spacious with a country heritage ambiance. Our restaurant is open every evening at 6:00 PM for your dining convenience. We provide modern facilities wireless broadband with ample power points conveniently placed to charge your phones, computers, cameras etc. Our rooms have generous space for your luggage so that you can place the items you need readily to hand. As you would expect from a property of our quality, all rooms have a queen size bed, air-conditioning and AUSTAR For your convenience there are tea and coffee facilities together with iron and ironing board and a well priced mini bar in all rooms. We provide a FREE Guest Laundry and a salt water swimming pool. Large vehicle parking is available. The Bega Downs Restaurant is a fully licensed restaurant open every evening. We offer a substantial A-la-Carte menu in a fine dining ambiance. Our cuisine is country style and offers value by combining generous servings of our local produce with a rich mix of international flavours. We specialise in beef, which is bred in our fertile valley, and seafood fresh from the southern ocean at our doorstep. We provide full menu In Room Service for you convenience at no extra charge. | Getting There |
From Sydney you can drive south along the scenic Prince Highway (about 430 km) OR take the freeway to Canberra and drive the historic Snowy Mountains Highway to Cooma and the Monaro Highway to Bega (about 500 Km but often a quicker and easier trip than the Princes Highway). Bega - Driving into Bega from the north continue along the main street (Carp St)until an intersection with a large stone clock tower on the left. At the clock tower turn right into Gipp Street (also the Princes Hwy). Proceed to top of hill, opposite Catholic Church and just before walk lights. From Melbourne it is north along the Princes Highway (about 650 km). Bega - Driving into Bega from the south we are on the left at the first traffic lights (walk lights) at the Catholic Church. |
