River View Lodge is a large comfortable guest house on the banks of the Mersey River. Our three and a half star, AAA rated guest house was built in 1877 and offers ten rooms. A hearty breakfast is included in your tariff. We are just a five minute, flat walk to the CBD. Close to all amenities and tourist facilities including Cradle Mountain, wineries, Anvers Chocolate and Ashgrove Cheese. There are also hotels and a variety of restaurants all within walking distance of our guest house. Across the road is the picturesque River Mersey with scenic walking tracks along its banks, leading to lovely sea views and a large playground. The lodge has a very homely guest lounge room with a large fire in winter. There is also a sunny breakfast room where all guests can enjoy the river views whilst eating their breakfast. Guests can also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in this room or take it to their own rooms. ** This property does have some room types that do not have private ensuites or bathrooms, as indicated in the room type descriptions ** |

| Getting There |
Ten minutes drive from the ferry terminal and Devonport Airport. One hour from Launceston Airport. River View Lodge is easy to find being close to the CBD. There is a down ramp on Victoria Bridge on the Bass Highway. That is the main road into Devonport. At the bottom of the ramp there is a set of traffic lights. Turn right here and follow this road (Formby Road) through three sets of traffic lights past McDonalds to the roundabout. Turn right and the lodge is about 500 metres from the roundabout on the left. |
