Golden Tulip Wien City is situated in the centre of Vienna adjacent the famous Raimund Theatre. The hotel is easy accessible and an ideal base for business guests. Vienna; a lively city with much to see and do! From the hotel it is only a small 10 minutes by subway to get in the heart of the city and to all its sights. In the vicinity of the hotel you will find the long shopping street Mariahilferstrasse and many cozy pubs and restaurants. Ideal location! The Golden Tulip Wien City is ideally located as it is close to the International Railway Station and just of the Guertel. The hotel is easy accessible by car, bus or subway and just a 20 minutes drive from the Vienna International Centre and fairground. The hotel offers 3 different types of rooms to make sure the needs of each different guest are met. You can choose between the following types: Golden Tulip Wien City offers 60 comfortable standrad rooms of 25sqm. To make sure you feel at ease in your rooms and to able you to fully relax and have a good sleep, the rooms are decorated in a warm and cozy style with extra comfortable beds. The rooms offer double or twin beds and the hotel offers 6 triple rooms. The rooms all have air-conditioning to keep the rooms fresh and breathy. There are also 12 business rooms with all facilities our business guest would need. The rooms are 25sqm and are modern decorated. In addition to the standard room, our business rooms feature free use of high-speed internet, bathrobe and slippers and a daily free newspaper. Our 5 spacious studios of 40sqm are decorated in a modern style. The rooms feature a sitting corner and a roof terrace with a spectacular view over the lively city. Additional services of the studios are the free use of High speed Internet, bathrobe and slippers, fresh fruit and free breakfast service. All rooms are fully equipped with Sat-TV with pay per view channels, Radio AM/FM, Internet Access, minibar and a private bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer. The hotel offers free internet use in the lobby. Dining Facilities Breakfast: Start your day with an extensive warm buffet breakfast in our breakfast room. The delicious breakfast buffet consists of different sorts of bread and bread rolls, roasted sausages or bacon, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, different cheeses and sausage cuts, seasonal vegetables and fruits, different kinds of cereals and cornflakes, jam and honey, juices, yoghurt, stewed fruits and many more. The Habsburgs resided here the better part of the year in numerous rooms for the large imperial family in addition to representational rooms. Hofburg For more than seven centuries, the great empire of the Habsburgs was ruled from the Imperial Palace. Today, the Gothic Imperial Chapel, where the Vienna Boys’ Choir performs during High Mass on Sunday, is a remnant of the Imperial Palace during the Middle Ages. In the center of the old city, you can admire the splendor and magnificence of the daily life of the noblest family of the Habsburg monarchy when you visit the private apartments and state rooms. Numerous museums and collections represent the imperial family’s passion for art. St. Stephen´s Cathedral Austria's most eminent Gothic edifice, houses a wealth of art treasures.Tipp: climb the 343 steps to the tower-keeper's room of St. Stephen's and enjoy a breathtaking view... Giant Ferris Wheel, Bohemian Prater In 1896-97, the English engineering firm of Walter Basset built the Giant Ferris Wheel, which has become one of the most recognizable symbols of Vienna .The wheel, with its 15 gondolas, turns at a rate of two and a half feet per second and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the city. The amusement park bohemian Prater is no less entertaining: What was once a destination for families on a Sunday afternoon and today has become a leisure center in the Vienna. The Spanish Riding School Vienna with its famous Lipizzan ballet can be experienced live in the baroque ambiance of the Imperial Palace.The Spanish Riding School in Vienna is the only institution in the world where the classic equestrian skills (haute école) has been preserved and is still practiced in its original form. Belvedere Palace Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663 - 1736), the most brilliant military mind of his age, commissioned Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt to design and build the garden palace Belvedere as a summer residence outside the walls of the city. The palace, one of the most exquisite Baroque structures in the world, consists of two palaces (Upper and Lower Belvedere).A majority of the rooms were adapted to house the Austrian Gallery. The Ring Stroll along Vienna's splendid boulevard and admire it as a window on the former Habsburg monarchy ... In 1857, the city wall and its bastions were razed, and during the following years this splendid grand boulevard encircling the city was created.
