Lanigan Abbey Estate is located in historic Gundagai, on the picturesque banks of the great Murrumbidgee River. Lanigan Abbey is furnished in the elegant style of the High Victorian period. Throughout the Abbey there are extensive and beautiful artworks, all chosen to compliment each individual room. A unique part of the Abbey is the Chapel, featuring restored statues, paintings and an organ. Lanigan Abbey offers five 4½ star Bed and Breakfast suites, including full Silver Service breakfast (included in tariff). Lunch and dinner can be provided for all guests on request. Formal functions for up to 55 people can be accommodated in the Art Gallery building which contains a full commercial kitchen. More intimate Silver Service dining for up to 12 people can be provided in the formal State Dining Room. Also located on Lanigan Abbey Estate is the renowned Bandamora Art Gallery, which specialises in prime investment and fine art by leading Australian artists. Lanigan Abbey Estate also has a private Chapel, which is available for weddings, christenings and renewal of vows. |

The most luxurious suite within the Abbey with its own dining area and private balcony. Outstanding artworks and magnificent pressed metal ceilings and walls. Gate Keeper's Cottage
The Gate Keeper's Cottage has its own entrance, sitting room, kitchenette, bedroom, walk in wardrobe and full size ensuite. Suitable for family when using sofabed. Rates are for 2 people. The 4 Star Blue Suite was originally the grand parlour and has been restored with the original ceiling, fireplace and mantlepiece in place. | Getting There |
Travelling North or South along the Hume Highway, take the second exit into Gundagai which becomes Sheridan Street (the main street). Proceed to the fourth intersection and turn left at the historic St Patrick's Church into Homer Street. Lanigan Abbey entrance is the second driveway on the left. |

Gundagai has many historic buildings and sites associated with early Australian discovery and settlement. Lanigan Abbey can arrange (on request) exclusive tours of outstanding local historic homesteads. Located within the Estate is the renowned Bandamora Art Gallery, famous for the largest country collection of Australian investment and fine art. For the sports minded, Gundagai has a full range of activities including the outstanding 18 hole Golf Course on the banks of the majestic Murrumbidgee River. The district is also well known for its quality fly-fishing. |
