Sixteen room family run lodge in the heart of Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. All front rooms have views of Aoraki Mount Cook itself along with a stunning panorama of peaks and glaciers.

We have 4 family rooms with either queen or king bed plus bunks, 8 king or twin bed rooms, 2 studio rooms with kitchenette and own deck with huge ranch slider windows and one 4 bed bunkroom.

The lodge has a fully equipped self catering kitchen with adjoining dining and lounge area for guest use. Complimentary tea & coffee is available 24hrs from the kitchen.

The lounge has lots of comfy couches and a cosy fire place for the cooler times. The views from this room are the best in the village.

We are walking distance to all amenities and attractions within the village and we sell all available trips and attractions, some with a discounted rate if you book with us.

All guests recieve a discount voucher for meals at The Hermitage Hotel, $10pp for dinner or $5pp for breakfast.

Getting There	When you get to the end of the Mount Cook road (highway 80) turn left and drive 800m around the loop road and you will find us at the top of the hill. Coaches stop and pick up from our front doorstep.
Parking	On and off street parking is right outside the building and free of charge.
Things To Do	Kick back and enjoy the view from our awesome lounge in a world class location. The myriad of hiking trails here suit a wide variety of fitness levels and can all be accessed from our doorstep. The famous Hooker Valley walk takes you from here to almost the base of Mount Cook over 2 awesome swing bridges with views that are simply superb. See it all from the air either by Helicopter or Skiplane, book with us and receive a 5% discount. Go Glacier Sea Kayaking or explore the Tasman Glacial Lake by boat with Glacier Explorers. Walk to an Alpine Hut and stay the night or take your lunch and watch as the glaciers continually break away from the mighty Mount Sefton. Take a guided 4WD tour to the longest glacier in New Zealand. Go Helibiking and take a helicopter scenic flight with a glacier landing as part of the price. Its easy riding and finish up with a tour on a working high country sheep station. Two brand new visitor centres within a stones throw of the Lodge. The Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre is a newly opened museum, planetarium and 3D movie theatre. This is a phenomenal visitor attraction and a fabulous tribute to a great human being. Currently under construction is the new Aoraki/Mount Cook Visitor centre. This promises to be another phenomenal attraction with loads of interpretation of the Mount Cook National Park and its awesome environment. Opening September 2008. World class Glacier and Heliskiing is available and if booked through us receive a 5% discount.
