The Westwood Motor Inn “The Quite One” is a family operated business right in the heart of Armidale with a 2 minute walk to the CBD. Close to Cathedrals, museums, art galleries, heritage buildings and fine dining restaurants. Armidale is ideally located mid-way between Sydney and Brisbane on the New England Highway and just two hours drive to the coast.

Armidale is home to the University of New England, Australia’s oldest university and the New England regional Art Museum. Come and see the beautiful colours of Autumn as the leaves turn from green to brilliant reds, yellows, burgundy and all shades in between.

The city is surrounded by the state’s finest national parks and spectacular gorge country – ideal for bushwalking, trout fishing, abseiling, horse riding and canoeing.

Across the road you can Dine in at the New La Bocca Italian Restaurant in the evening, Monday to Saturday, then treat yourself to a home cooked breakfast delivered to your room.

Getting There Exiting the New England Highway from Brisbane take the Armidale exit and follow the road down the hill until you arrive at a set of traffic lights. Turn right into Marsh Street and travel straight ahead until you arrive at another set of traffic lights. Turn Left into Barney Street and we are 100meters on the right. From Sydney on the New England Highway take the Armidale exit and follow the road until you arrive at a roundabout. Turn left over the railway bridge into Dangar Street and follow the road to another roundabout. Turn right into Barney Street and go through the lights situated on the corner of Barney & Marsh and you will see our sign and Motel on your right.
Parking All motel units are ground floor with parking at your door.
2 Bedroom apartments are upstairs with parking outside the apartment block.
Things To Do Armidale and surrounding areas have a lot to offer the traveller. The University of New England and its grounds, heritage tours, either self drive or a free tour with the Armidale Information Centre can be arranged. Museums, art galleries, cathedrals, churches, historic monuments and only a short drive are our beautiful Waterfalls and gorges.

Armidale has many restaurants and al fresco dining for all tastes.
