Auckland's Waitakere Estate is an adult's retreat located on a ridge top set in 80 acres of pristine native forest. From the Boutique Hotel's ridge top position there are remarkable views over the bush to Auckland City and beyond.

The Boutique Hotel's perfect eco-setting gives nearby access to magnificent bush walks, rugged West Coast beaches and vineyards.

Getting There	The quickest route from the city to Waitakere Estate is to follow the North Western Motorway to the Te Atatu turnoff and then to carefully follow Route No 13 as follows: Along Te Atatu Road to the first roundabout where you turn right into Edmonton Road Follow Edmonton Road through to the roundabout just before Henderson where you turn right into Alderman Drive which is the bypass around Henderson. At the end of Alderman Drive proceed straight across Great North Road into Henderson Valley Road. Follow Henderson Valley Road to the first round about and turn left into Forest Hill Road. Follow Forest Hill Road right to the end where it joins West Coast Road and turn right into West Coast Road until you reach the Scenic Drive. NOTE: ALL OF THE ABOVE TURNS ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH ROUTE NO. 13. On reaching the Scenic Drive turn right and follow the Scenic Drive until you reach the Television mast. Be careful not to take the Piha turnoff. At the Piha Road junction keep to the right on the Scenic Drive. The entrance to the Estate is on your right 400 metres past the mast and is clearly sign posted. The driveway down to the Estate is approximately one kilometre long. On approaching the Estate please follow the signs to ?Reception?.

Things To Do	The Waitakere Ranges Heritage Park adjoins the hotel property. This provides a huge selection of bush walking options. The spectacular West Coast Beaches of Piha and Karekare are within 15 minutes drive. The area was one of the original wine producing regions in New Zealand and many well known wine making names are still located in the area. A rainforest express, miniature train does trips through the rainforest, through about ten tunnels and over a large viaduct. A truly special rainforest experience. Private Bush and Beach tours are available from the hotel.
