WE HAVE TWO UNIQUE WATERFRONT LOCATIONS IN THE TASMAN & PORT ARTHUR REGION - SAFETY COVE NEAR PORT ARTHUR AND SALTWATER RIVER ON THE CONVICT TRAIL NEAR THE HISTORIC CONVICT COAL MINES SITE/LIME BAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND WHICH PROPERTY YOU ARE BOOKING. The Seaside Cottage & Seaview Studio are part of the Convict Beach House at 771 Saltwater River Road, Saltwater River. Saltwater River is a very unique and secluded waterfront retreat on Norfolk Bay, a scenic drive from Port Arthur. Look out for the Convict Beach House signs. Old Salts, Viking and Seafarers are part of the Rocking Horse Studios & Apartments - 220 Safety Cove Road,(look for the Dinghy between the 2 trees with Gallery written on it ) Port Arthur. Pet friendly on request. Our cottages and apartments are ideally located nearby the historic sites, and some of the country's best bush walks and beaches. Safety Cove is very close to restaurants, shops and cafes. Important Note: Please include your mobile number and email in the comments section of your booking form in case we need to contact you. What to do in Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula when you stay with us? We can send you a full list when you book if you include your email, but here’s an idea of what to expect so you don’t end up saying “We didn’t book for long enough”. - Pick your own Oysters and Mussels 2 minutes away from the Cottages & Seaview Studio. - Visit the Devils....Enjoy one of our pristine beaches....Catch a fish....Veg out !!!!! - The Port Arthur Historic Site (including the boat trip, the Isle of the Dead, Point Puer and evening ghost tour) will occupy at least 2 days – we recommend you book the ghost tour. Ask for Tasmania Smart Visit Cards. - The Blowhole Area, Devil’s Kitchen, Patterson’s Arch, Tasman Arch, Waterfall Bay Cliffs, Tessellated Pavement, Dog Line, Remarkable Cave, Palmers Lookout also take a full day to enjoy - From September to mid-May, an Eco Cruise trip to see whales, seals and dolphins is a must. - The Totem Pole, The Candlestick, Waterfall Bay, Cape Hauy, Fortescue Bay, The Hippolyte Rocks, Tasman Island and Cape Pillar... extraordinary places where towering sea cliffs meet the expanse of pure ocean with breathtaking dolerite columns soaring 300m above the Tasman Sea. - In early summer and spring, spend an evening waiting for the return of the Little Penguins after a day at sea.
